Put the chemical way dey remove that pungent smell & reduce emissions


Evacuate the watery part either through a pump or using buckets tied with ropes.


Then finally enter the pit to remove the solid waste & making a smaller round hole below.



That's the proper procedure, at least from the guys that do the buildings I preside over

Sewage pits are death traps when the proper protective equipment isn't used.

Ammonia necrosis is fatal. You will be thinking after all its ordinary smelly air. No , the ammonia levels in that sewage air is toxic and starts to kill brain cells ASAP
