The gunmen had during the weekend killed the four soldiers in Gudu Local Government Area of the state.

Anewlywed Nigerian army officer, Ibrahim Yibranii Yohana, was among the four soldiers killed by terrorists in Sokoto State.

It was gathered that the soldiers were ambushed along the Kukurau-Bangi Road while on patrol around 4pm on Saturday.
The attack was also said to have left two other soldiers injured.
Two operational vehicles of the military personnel were set on fire by the terrorists.
SaharaReporters learnt that one of the army personnel, a captain got married on November 4, 2023 to his wife, Jossy Happiness.

When I tell people that we are not one in this country but many will not believe me.the mode of operation is always different between the north and south east and south south.In south east and south south it is go and destroy every living and non living things,but in the north it is go after the criminals.We can't continue operating this way.When some criminals carried out attack on our security agents in imo and abia state,the military didn't go just for the criminals but they go after the whole community and it environs.I don't too blame the military for treating the people of south east and south south like people without a life,it is because our leaders are very useless.

When is the army going to kill everyone in that community in retaliation?

Hmmm ...the four victims were Christians? I even read between the lines but saw no clue. How are some commenting so sure?
It's unfortunate the soldiers got killed ... they knew the risk to life involved when they signed up ... but the military also has the responsibility of giving them a great deal of protection. They were patrolling in hostile territory ... where they can come under surprise attacks as in this case... I would really like to know what back up plans were in place in case of such an attack? The attack helicopters ... the fighter jets... the quick response teams. ... all set up for counter attacks ... why are the never ever present? Let's see the response in the media and be waiting for the one on ground.
