I wouldn't recommend any agnostic or atheist, or anyone else with a "controversial" opinion on religion, having public discussions in an environment like Nigeria.

Even if the debating theist is civil, there are more than enough nutjobs who are itching to murder in the name of their non-existent god.

It reminds me of the atheist association of Nigeria and how they got relentlessly attacked till they all went into hiding.

It's just sad. Online would be the best

In the general society, being an atheist is a taboo. I remember when my former boss said in the hospital whatsapp group that atheists aren't welcome. They didn't know I was one. Folks would go out of their way to mistreat and harm you.
