Please I'd like to ask, how long does it take passport renewal with change of name that has been paid for and submitted to be approved? It's saying awaiting approval. Today makes it a week after submitting and payment.

Pls huz is it possible after capturing and you are waiting for the passport to be out, den you are told u did passport before...and note I did ma old lost passport 20 years ago

Applied for password renewal since last year November and this is what I keep seeing each time i tried to track the process. I'm based in Lagos and I chose the Ikoyi Passport office. Anyone ever experienced this?

You should have gone for capturing/enrollment (on the appointment date issued to you) before now.

I think you should try to reschedule appointment for biometric capturing.

I wasn't issued any appointment date.

Please, what does a man who did change of name need to do to renew his expired passport and also effect the changed name? He has done the correction/update on his NIN. I'll appreciate all the help we can get from here. Thank you.
Note: He deposed to an affidavit already and has done newspaper publication.

When I checked my tracking status I saw that it says "READY FOR ENROLLMENT".
Does that mean I am ready for capturing? I need to know so I can start booking my flight to Ottawa.

Yes, you are ready for capturing/enrollment.

Good everyone, please did anybody apply online for renewal to capture in either Enugu or Abakaliki. If yes have you been able to capture, please what's the process like. I want to apply online but before then I want to know where it will be seamless either in Enugu or Abakaliki. Thanks in anticipation.

If u are renewing no need of another biometric capturing if the details tally with the expired passport the old capturing will be used.
The new selfy capturing will be done online and use as your passport pics

Abeg, na where I fit do passport in southern Nigeria wey e go come out within a week or two. It's urgent. If you know anyone or contact I can connect with to make it happen, I will appreciate

A guarantor is no longer a requirement.

The new system do not require for guarantor's form... So just go with your photocopy and original documents just incase they ask to see the original... I did my biometric on 6th of this month and no guarantor's form required

I also paid on 24th and I haven’t seen the approval email lol my biometrics is on Sept 2nd

Good morning, I need your advice, I planned on applying for a passport yesterday but when I inputted my nin, my nin details came out and it shows single. However, I recently married last year. I did not see any option on the nimc portal to change my marriage status. Can I proceed and apply for the passport even though it is showing that I am single? Will it have any negative impact in future?

Letter of identification from local government/state of origin certificate

Completed passport application form.

Marriage certificate (married woman only).

Birth Certificate (certificate issued by the National Population Commission shall be required from applicants whose date of birth is with effect from Dec 1992) or Age Declaration attached with one passport-sized photograph and duly endorsed by a Commissioner for Oaths.

Acknowledgement Slip and Evidence of Payment.

Sorry I'm just seeing this, i got my approval last Saturday and i went for capturing on monday

My experience getting my Nigerian passport DIY for my daughter. I paid for the passport online 21st July . I picked 29th july 2024 as the capture date. Honestly everything was seamless. I didn’t take more than 50mins she had been captured. Now I kept monitoring online or expecting a call but I didn’t. I gave it 6 weeks because I didn’t want to go and they tell me it’s not ready. I reached out to friends I saw on that same day and they told me theirs was ready 2 weeks after and it was DIY. I checked online and it still showed passport production in process. I decided to go there myself and lo and behold the passport had been produced and ready for pick up since 13th of august. I’d advise everyone to first do it yourself , then after 2-3 weeks go there yourself to check cause chances are that it is ready.

Hi everyone ,my wife and daughter applied for their passport diy went for capturing the same day,my daughter was able to do hers but my wife was told there's query on her profile and wasn't really told what should be done.
