When I got married, majority of JWs were shocked that my mum and dad boldly stood by me throughout, even though I say I no do again and I no wan marry JW.

And this is only because my parents have UNCONDITIONAL LOVE for me - my parents clearly said to the Elders - "no religion will EVER make us shun our own children."

Everyday, I thank God for my parents.

But for many others who decide to leave this cult, it is often a very different story - parents are quick to shun their children and would rather love the GB & organization more than their own children.

This is because as a JW, you practice a form of CONDITIONAL LOVE - the day you decide to leave the cult, is the day you become dead in their eyes.

Scriptures should never be interpreted in isolation. You must consult with other passages that addresses the same issue. Evidence of the scripture that shows that Jesus rose up with his body;

1. He said it before it happened.

John 2:19-21.
19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. (Compare)

20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?

21 But he spake of the TEMPLE OF HIS BODY.

This passage is enough to debunk your lies. But let's continue;

2. The tomb was empty.

If Jesus didn't rise from the dead with his body, they would have seen it in the tomb. To assert that God took his body is calling God a fraudster. But your organisation which opposes every truth in the Bible is the fraudster. You don't have a single scripture evidence for that.

3. Jesus himself told Thomas he is not a spirit. He said, come and touch me. I have flesh and bones;

Luke 24:38 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; FOR A SPIRIT HATH NOT FLESH AND BONES, AS YE SEE ME HAVE.

Notice, he didn't say, flesh and blood which is the earthly body. He said, flesh and bones. This is the glorified body. It is not sustained by blood but by the Spirit of God. This is what the scripture meant when it said;

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.

You misinterprete the verse above as though it says that Jesus was raised as a spirit. It said he was made alive by the power of the Holy Spirit.

4. Apostle Paul wrote;

Philippians 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned LIKE UNTO HIS GLORIOUS BODY, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

The passage above acknowledges that Jesus has a body but it's a glorious one. And our bodies will also be transformed like unto his glorious body.

So in a nutshell all what the Ex-jws are saying about the organization is how they want to be isolated from the global family in which their parents, guardians, uncles, aunties, nephews, nieces, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters are still bonafide members!

This reminds me of my youthful friend whose name was Abdulrasheed, his parents were at the time Muslims and as a Muslim i'm also the family friend. Abdulrasheed got converted to Deeperlife and he will go about arguing with all his strength about how devilish Islam could be but what really baffles me back then was the day one of their tenants called his parents "àwọn onímọ̀ líle tí kò ní ìtumọ gidi"
Loosely translate:
"people having worthless beliefs"

I was shocked to see Rasheed fighting insisting the tenant must leave his father's house! huh

Though i couldn't ask him why he was fighting against what he himself used to say to others who are also Muslims like his parents because back then i also was a Muslim but from that day onwards i became skeptical about what his church taught him.

If he's so zealous to speak against other Muslims calling their faith "worthless" why is he now enraged when someone says the same about his own parents? undecided
