I swear if na abroad, this is huge money for them. Some will get over 300k Dollars if they press charges outside the compensation

I know some will doubt this, the least you will be paid per month is 3k per month and it goes for 2 years. Multiply across 24months
In Naija, the injured will get: 2×500mg Paracetamol
Pure water
2× Gala as Snacks
Total.....#650 each.

You're very correct! When my cousin just relocated to the US and that hurricane issue happened she told me they came to their doors one by one and gave them $1k each

Nigeria is not rich enough to waste funds like that.

Una don tar road finish or generate enough electricity?

If dem like make dem press wetin pass charges, the commonwealth would not be wasted on frivolous claims of greedy citizens like it is done abroad.
Even in the so-called abroad, mostly US, you would have to prove negligence on the part of the driver
and the complainant must also show that the accident negatively impacted their livelihood such as loss
of job or body function.

As for Europe, the chance of getting a dime specifically for a public utility accident is close to zero
in most cases.

Government running costs is not the same as wasting funds that could have served for the general benefit of all on the greedy claims of a few.

The N90b spent on Hajj is part of the greedy claims of a few I am referring to.

The government should know that wasting of public funds on the religious concerns of a few, is a long existing anomaly that must now be prohibited.

While giving an update on social media, the agency said the bus ran into an abandoned pedestrian bridge foot immediately after the Iyana Ipaja bridge, causing it to tip over onto its side.

Nigeria is rich enough to run its government with whatever funds is required to run the government.

All you have listed is government expenditure on government assets and government operational costs.

Minus the hajj spending, government assets and running costs is never a waste.

Only the foolish opposition think everything as a waste, until they get to power and effect their own "waste".

Nigeria is rich enough to run the government that the constitution says it should run.

As long as you have not changed the constitution, those lamenting now will get to power and continue the expenditure on the things the illiterate man considers a waste.

Or how can the eventual building of the Vice President's residence be termed a waste after decades of pussy footing?

How can a 3rd hand Airplane for the Presidential fleet still be termed a waste, when you currently do not have any other better plane in the Presidential fleet?

What is the problem with renovating a national asset like the National Assembly?

The problem with beer parlour analysts is that they feel the urge to question any amount they see tagged to any expenditure, without any empirical fact to show why it should have cost less.

It is you who consider it a waste. I do not consider running costs and procurement of assets as waste.

Nigeria is rich enough to run its government as stipulated by the constitution.

Left to you, even the budget is a waste as it is not valued at N3million.

Left to you, everything is a waste unless you are the one in power.
