Bro, the problem you are having is that you don't understand that the teachings of Jesus Christ apostles are an extension of his teachings.
So it doesn't matter if it comes from the mouth of Paul or Peter, it's same as from the mouth of Christ.
Now read the verses below to understand.
The Apostles had the Spirit of Gid
John 14:26
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
The Apostles are one with Christ and they speak his words
John 17.20-21

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
In verse 20, Jesus Christ endorses the words of his Apostles.
So you don't need to look only for the teachings of Jesus Christ, as a Christian you need to believe the words of his Apostles also.
Do you get it now?
I don't get it because you are discussing what you want but not addressing my claim. What's in Luke 1:1-4 ?

Meanwhile for the sake of other Muslims and non-Christians who want to learn. God spoke through many people for many centuries in the Bible, before and after our God Jesus Christ. So, saying Jesus must be the person saying everything before it can be accepted is baseless and coming from a biased mind.
How do we confirm God spoke through them? How are the speach preserved from generation to generations?

This question look so baseless that I checked your name. And oh, I understood that you just want to be adamant once I saw that your name is antichristian.

So, I reserve further comment.

God will show you the truth.
God has so no need for your statement!

Can you show verses for all this your theory and pick how it worked exactly on:

1. Each of the 12 disciples.
2. The man Jesus told was forgiven.
3. The Samaritan woman and her people.
4. Luke's redeemed criminal crucified with Jesus.
What theory?
Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ not through grace plus work.
Obeying Jesus Christ is a product of salvation, when a man is saved he is forgiven, justified (made right with God) , regenerated(reborn in Spirit/ given a new heart) the product of this is the good works in does in christ Jesus.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Sir, you can't ask s christian a question and decide who he can quote. But really, why should it be Jesus Christ. Do you have any special reason why you think he is the only one in the bible capable of teaching us his words.
Please make it make sense. Why are you specific about hearing from Jesus Christ?
Of course I can. If you're telling me God sent Jesus to the world and then you're quoting another person's word that means Jesus failed to deliver what he was sent to do!
Re: Is Salvation By Works Or God's Mercy? Jesus Vs Paul! by AntiChristian(op): 7:47am On Aug 26, 2024
Kobojunkie:
The answer is both since there are two salvations. The first salvation which is of mercy is meant to lift YHWH's curse which He placed on all those born of the blood of Jacob beginning about 1900 years ago — the Last days; this curse is referred to as the condemnation of sin aka Death. This is the salvation Jesus Christ talked about in John 3 vs 1 -21. The second salvation is needed to then gain Heaven itself and again, only those who gain the first can gain the second. This salvation comes to those who, upon gaining the first continue on in continuous submission and obedience to God's Law(abide in Jesus Christ) and this can be found discussed in John 14,!14 and 16. . It is those who gain the second salvation that are described as the wise Virginia in Matthew 25 vs 1 -13, those who do works of righteousness in turn receive Heaven as reward - Matthew 25 vs 31 -46. undecided
More theory from Kobojunkie!

So which was experienced by Luke's criminal crucified with Jesus?

And explain how he experienced the two types of salvations?

Just because you don't know the answer to his question doesn't warrant insults.
You should use this very good question as an opportunity to learn more and understand the bible better and not as an opportunity to fight.
He is not a Christian but he asked a very good question that most christians should be asking.
You that knew the answer to his question, did he reckon with you? Both of you arguing blindly!

Proverbs 26:4-5
Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you yourself will be just like him. Answer a fool according to his folly, or he will be wise in his own eyes.

It is on nairaland you want to gain the soul of a foolish one right? You will argue tired 😴 😑

You realize he is not a Christian right. So he doesn't see it from your angle also, you realize that this could be an opportunity to teach so many others who are reading this. Let's use every opportunity we have to teach the gospel instead of needless insults.
1 Peter 3:15
15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Again, the gospel of Jesus Christ is not magic. It sometimes takes time before our works bear fruit.

That's where you are wrong. The purpose of Jesus Christ was not to teach us every single thing we need to know. That's why he choose men to continue the work after he died.
His purpose was to die for our sins. And lay the foundation for his gospel.
So stop getting it wrong never did Jesus Christ state that the words of his Apostles are not relevant on the contrary, he endorsed their words and their works. I hope you understand it better now.

Just like your secondary school teachers continued from the works of your primary school teachers.
Jesus Christ came to teach people what they must do to have salvation and Paul reminds us that our works will never be good enough. We still depend on the grace for salvation. Or in the words of Jesus Christ, with man, salvation is impossible but with God it is.

Stop trying to avoid the question i asked earlier.

I will simplify it for you again!

You quoted 2Tim. 3 Verses 16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

And i quoted Luke 1:1-4

Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

1. Was Luke inspired by God from that verse above?
2. What does Luke mean by "many have undertaken to draw up an account" and "as they were handed down to us by ...."?
3. Was Luke aware he was writing a part of your so-called Bible?
4. Who is Theophilus Luke was writing to?

O! so Jesus died for your sins!

But even before Jesus died sins were being forgiven! So of what importance is his death?

1. Matthew 6:12 And forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors.

2. Matthew 6:14 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive yours

3. Jesus told a man his sins were forgiven! And he wasn't dead then!

So of what use is someone dying?

lawbabs:
That scripture is higher than your mind can carry. It is by mercy you are saved for no one can come to God except God draws him to himself. That was why even though we were many friends who were preached to but only I submitted to the Lordship of Christ at the very time I gave my life to Christ. Am I better than them? No! Why did I make the choice, and those friends didn't? Mercy found me because God drew me.

It is only when you have been drawn to Christ that you now have the capacity to obey God.
Firstly, your God made these people inherit sin they didn't commit (which is totally unfair).

Secondly, he remedied the situation through human sacrifice of an innocent person. So those who believed in this human sacrifice will be saved.

Thirdly, it turns out that nobody can even believe in this human sacrifice without the "mercy" of this god. That is, he chooses who he wants to believe and leave the rest (according to the bolded).

All these business just reek of injustice of the highest order all through which makes one doubt the sanity of the adherents of this doctrine.

Another brilliant question. Now let's go to the bible for answers.
Revelations13. [8] And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain.
Hebrews 11.13
These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Now the first verse describes Christ as the lamb slain before the foundation of the world. His death was an already concluded event.
Hence the second verse, even before his physical death, people who had faith in God banked on the promises of the gospel. Their faith in the promises to come was enough to bring them forgiveness.
So even before his physical sacrifice, many could receive forgiveness through faith in him.
