Dear Peter Obi,

It is not only that it took you four days to condemn this woman, you have also shown your deep seated tribalism in that three weeks ago, when you were condemning the Igbo Must Go episode, you mentioned the ethnic nationalities involved.

However, when condemning Amaka Sunnberger's threat to poison people of Yoruba and Edo origin, you refused to mention any ethnic nationality. You were vague and evasive. Why Peter? You treat Igbos one way, and treat other Nigerians in a differdifferent manner.

I have attached the two posts for Nigerians to compare and contrast.

Peter, you are too parochial to govern a multi ethnic and religiously heterogeneous nation.

Maybe you are protecting Amaka Sunnberger, because you know she was inspired by your 'religious war' comments against the Muslim Ummah. After all, we know that a sizeable population of Yorubas and Edos are Muslim.

Peter Obi's Condemnation:
I utterly condemn the reported hateful statement and actions attributed to a Nigerian woman living in Canada against other Nigerians of diverse origins. Such divisive comments or behaviour have no place in our society.

As Nigerians, we should unite and focus on addressing our shared challenges, rather than allowing tribalism and hate to tear us apart. I have consistently stood against the polarisation of our country along tribal, religious or political lines.

What does a nation achieve through tribal or religious bigotry? Does it contribute positively to development, by fixing our numerous health, education challenges, and pulling people out of poverty? Does it reduce the price of bread, rice, garri or yam in the market?

Does it improve our transportation system or enhance the electricity supply? Does it ensure good governance?

The answer is a resounding NO!!

Our priority should be to move Nigeria forward, regardless of tribe or religion.

We, as Nigerians, must live together in peace and love, and ensure that we enthrone leaders based on integrity, competence, consistency, capacity, character and compassion, so as to overcome our present challenges and move the country forward in the right direction.

Let us focus on what truly matters: building a prosperous, united, and equitable Nigeria for all. We must reject tribalism and religious division, and embrace our shared humanity, working together towards a new Nigeria that is POssible! -PO

Your argument is flawed. Peter Obi is spot on. There are multiple hate speeches and violent threats from multiple individuals and groups targeted at Igbos. This is not just one person, these are multiple people and even groups including Tinubu supporters, specifically targeted at Igbos.

This woman is a loner, and we have recently learnt that her outburst was in reaction to threats made against Igbos on the same social media space where she reacted

When I read that Peter Obi's post on twitter, I was just laughing. This agulu man would go to great length to hide the Ibo identity from anything bad. But if it was another tribe, he would immediately go out all gun blazing to castigate them.

Tribal bigotry is a line that no sane thinking person should ever cross. Imagine attacking a whole tribe of successful people all over the world based on the activities of criminals who share nothing else but an ethnic background with them. It's the same reason many Americans don't like Trump.

Very despicable and most Tinubu supporters are guilty of this
