ivolt:Oga I read the message.it was not after he was arrested. Until you have balanced account and notice shortage then don't hastily do that. The customer couldn't pay into a particular account. If the company used a bank like zenith or access that can delay nko? And he had opay or palmpay nko? And the customer asks he sends it to him so that he can later transfer due to time. You don't randomly arrest or label someone a thief without checking the circumstances.its when you are balancing account and you notice shortage that you raise alarm. |

Bankowner:Yes, you are right in saying the guy has attitudinal problem, he was probably poorly raised to deal with life issue. That however, shouldnt take a shy away from the truth he uttered to his boss, it might be bitter but sometimes, someone needs to say it. Rather than prosecute the bot because he has position, the boss should have thought about what the guy said. If he is a child if an influential person, irrespective of what he wrote, the so called boss woukdnt have ventured to deal with him that way. Whether the boss likes it or not, his name is printed on social media now for the injustice he melted unto another. It is a question of time, nemesis will catch up with him too. It is just a maters of time. |

Verydarkhearted:Turn up the volume plls....Omo to sole nu, o so apo iya ko! No matter how bad you are to your parent, no parent would watch his child languish in prison over an offence he probably didnt commit or bail conditions he could fulfil (even if he had to borrow) |

There are so many red flags in the story sorry to say, something isn't right. I know Nigeria is rotten with alot of questionable actions but this guy story for someone like me a crime story writer, I think he has deliberately held back some truth from this matter. So many red flags and excuses. Don't believe it.. I remember when. I got the sack for a teaching Job due to the fact I went for an interview. I had taken the proper leave and done everything to ensure my absence was done properly and followed the right protocols days before the eventual interview but I got sacked still. I worked with a foreign boss, someone who many saw as a narcissistic egomaniac.. I didn't worry, many people begged and all. I told the not to worry. I know my value. Thanked the management for the opportunity and took my leave. I kept contact with them and even made recommendations for Staffing. Of course I am very professional with my career. A year and half later, they got in touch with me surprisingly asking me if I would like to come back. I called them, Thanked them, and told them. I had a Job already. There is a level of professionalism you as an employee has to maintain. It's never been fair working under anyone, Joseph did not kill portiphar or take him to court after he became a. Governor. Joseph would be known as a rapist to even many. Just focus on your goals. Keep it simple and don't talk much about your previous bosses negatively . This. Life too big. |

tete7000:You're forgetting that the boss went through legal means and just didn't have the guy arrested and thrown to jail like some other persons will do. And the guy had the option of fine when he was sentenced. His only problem was that he couldn't raise #50,000 because he wasn't in good terms with his family. That in itself is a red flag. My Yoruba people will say the child who has no father or mother does not develop sore on his back. |

Tightpussy2024:you are not smart, if you are, you will understand that his story is sketchy no matter how hard he tries to sound innocent, he can fool your type, not other right thinking humans so just move aside, so people with common sense can engage me, thank you. |

Zubeezanga:I dont see him as dishonest else he would not have included the part that the boss withdrew the case and also assisted him with part of the money. Someone with sole intent of tarnishing the boss will hide that fact from the public. The boy has attitudunal issues but I can't label him bad |

Bankowner:He went through legal means and trumped up a theft charge to get him convicted. Without the theft and other criminal charges levelled against him, he might not have got a conviction he needed. It would be difficult to convict the guy only on allegation of insult, it was why the man went to raise other charges against him. I still maintained that if the guy has been from an influential family, the case wouldn't go far. The boss knew he erred, and it was why he later came around to help but it doesn't change the fact that he didn't behave better than the guy he set out to teach a lesson. His name being associated with such absurdity will definitely come back to haunt him too. It is the law of karma. That being said I havent disagreed that the boy has his own problem and that if he has been able to raise 50k, he wouldn't go to jail. However that in itself shows the problem with our justice system. So if the boy wasn't able to pay 50k, he deserved to rot in jail? What option was he given outside the fine, community service, 1month jail? I am a Yoruba too but it is good we address what the two parties have done wrong. |

tete7000: Your ex-boss alleged that you stole the company’s phone, so you were arrested for “insulting him” and theft. How true was that?Did you read the part where he said he was not convicted for theft? it's right up here. |

Bankowner:I did and at the end of the day, he was not actually convicted at all but was asked to pay 50k fine which was later reduces to 30k which because he couldn't pay made him spent 10 good months in jail. Those who got him released understood there was actually no conviction and that was why they could easily got him out. To make the matter worse, the court that handled his case was already dissolved and without help he would have remained perpetually in jail had people not come to his rescue because his boss wanted to teach him lesson for insulting him. You might really need to thoroughly reread the whole interview to understand how depraved the justice system is. A justice system that serves the whims of the powerful to teach the lowly one's lessons. Why alleged the guy stole something he didn't steal in the first instance. |

tete7000:I will have you know that telling the boss he lacked leadership and managerial skills is character assassination which is an offence and punishable under the law. Need I remind you again that he was not convicted or punished for theft. Why didn’t you reach out to your parents or loved ones when you were arrested? You will see from the answer he gave above that he was just lackadaisical about his arrest. Since when did matters that have got to the police get resolved same day in Nigeria of all places? |
| Re: I Spent 10 Months In Prison For Resigning Via SMS — 26-Year-Old Photography by tete7000(m): 11:35am On Aug 31, 2024 |
Bankowner:How is someone writing you directly about his opinion of you a character assassination? Which character was he assassinating? Did he publish anything against him in the media for the world to read? The way some you reason is ludicrous. So if your friend writes or talks to you about his frank opinion about you, he has assisinated your character? If a contemporary of his boss told the boss the same thing the boy told him, which I am sure one would have, would he jail them? Bros, the interview the boy granted now to tell his story assassinated the man (if I may use your terminology) more than his letter. He portrayed the man as a evil, heartless demagogue who took advantage of his lowly staff. Did you read that he said no one works more than three months with the man because of his behaviour? Will the man go back, rearmost him and jail him for that damning interview. O ti e mo nkankan. |

Bankowner:The boy was not convicted of anything, he was simply kept behind bar at someone's discretion. How does a conviction give a jail term for a misdemeanor without giving option of a jail sentence? So if the boy wasn't able to pay 50k, then he rot in jail? And you call that a conviction? Now I understand why Nigeria is upside down, it is because we have citizens thinking like you. |

tete7000:You really have not made any sense other than being sentimental. The fact of the matter is that a competent court of jurisdiction convicted him. |

NIGERIA as a country is a direct replica of hell on earth. Just imagine? A man spends time in Jail for insulting another man meanwhile we have rogues and thieves running the country and the law turns a blind eye to them. A former governor accused of stealing billions is hiding and they pretend they don't know where he is. What a country!!! |

Bankowner:You are the one not making sense. You don't understand what they call justice. You are probably one of those thinking being well-placed gives you opportunity to use a lopsided justice system like ours to your advantage. I have told you, the boy has his issue but the boss has a bigger issue. Had the boy reached out to those who can help him, the fine self won't be levied against him. He was taken advantage of. Simple as A-B-C. Someone spent ten months in jail for not paying a 30k and you call that justice? Had people not come to his assistance, he will still remain there. I hope you know there are many like him languishing in jail for needless reasons? Abeg, let rest this argument. |
