CSM Eragbai Evborokhai is the 1st Nigerian born US soldier to head a US Army infantry regiment and is the most Snr NCO( Command Sergeant Major). The CSM is appointed to serve as a spokesman to address the issues of all soldiers from enlisted to officers from warrant officers to Generals as such they are the most senior enlisted advisor to the commanding officer of any US Army division. Command Sergeant Major (CSM) Eragbai E. Evborokhai enlisted in the United States Amy in 2001 out of Baltimore, Maryland and completed infantry one station unit training at Fort Benning, Georgia. CSM Evborokhai has served in numerous positions to include Rifleman, Automatic Rifleman, Fire team Leader, Squad Leader, Drill Sergeant, Senior Drill Sergeant, Assistant Operations Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant, and Operations Sergeant Major. Evborokhai’s previous assignments include 1st Battalion 14th infantry regiment, 25th infantry division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; 2nd Battalion 6th Infantry Regiment, Baumholder, Germany; 1st Battalion 7th Field Artillery, Fort Sill, Oklahoma; 2nd Battalion 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; 1 St Battalion 77th Armor Regiment, 4th Battalion 6th Infantry Regiment, and Iron Training Detachment, 1 St Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas, 3 Rd Squadron 4th Cavalry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and is currently the Command Sergeant Major of 4th Battalion 9th Infantry Regiment “Manchu” Fort Carson, Colorado. CSM Evborokhai’s military and civilian education includes Sexual Harassment Assault Response Prevention Course, Warrior Leader Course, Advance Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Sergeants Major Academy, Combat Life Saver Course, Basic Life Saver Course, Unit Prevention Leaders Course, Basic Airborne Course, Air Assault Course, Ranger School, Modern Army Combative Programs, Basic And Tactical Level Courses, Army Basic Instructor Course, And Drill Sergeants School. He also attended foreign courses such as the Malaysian Jungle Warfare Special Course Pulada, Malaysia and Australian Jungle Operations Training Tully, Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Homeland Security from the University Of Maryland Global Campus, Maryland. And a Bachelor of Arts in Workforce And Leadership Development from the Command and General Staff College. CSM Evborokhai is also currently pursuing a Master of Science in Homeland Security at the University Of Maryland Global Campus, Maryland. His military awards and decorations include meritorious service medal (2nd award), Army Commendation Medal (5th award), Army Achievement Medal ( 6th award), Valorous Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Citations (4th award), Army Good Conduct Medal (5th award), National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal (one gold star), Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (5th award), Non-Commissioned Officer Development Ribbon (numeral 4), Drill Sergeant Badge, Ranger Tab, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Basic Parachute Badge, Air Assault Badge, Drivers Badge (wheel), Norwegian Foot March Badge, and the German Armed Forces Badge for Weapon Proficiency. CSM Evborokhai is also a member of the Order of Saint Maurice. CSM Evborokhai is married and has two sons and one daughter.
