Chinese National Turns Nigerian Soldier With Ak-47 Rifle To His Maid Inside Lagos Market

A Twitter user identified as @NjokuLilian7 has narrated how a Chinese man turned an armed soldier to a maid inside a market in Lagos.

I saw a Nigerian soldier with an AK-47, following a Chinese (in a blue T-shirt) up and down in the market and doing the work of a maid, she tweeted.

The Chinese buys and gives to the "maid" to carry behind him. The "maid" hurries to the car to offload and comes back to his "oga". Shame!”

Many Nigerians have expressed anger over the incident, asking if a Chinese soldier can escort a Nigerian to the market in China.

They also faulted the leadership of the Nigerian Army for prioritising the security of wealthy people and foreign nationals while the poor masses who are in need of protection from robbers and criminals are left unattended.

The Chinese should be sanctioned. Blame hunger for the disgrace.

Not the fault of the Chinese guy. The dumb Nigerian soldier should be reprimanded.
They asked you to secure a person who considers himself endangered, but you chose to follow him into a crowded Nigerian market and then turn yourself to a porter.

Nigeria is one big comedy circus.

Why is anyone alarmed? Our security agencies have been reduced to boy- boy since the advent of our so-called, democracy.

Anyone with a few million in his bank account can walk into the barracks and tip the GOC there and walk off with one or two gun toting soldier.

That's how low we have fallen!!

The mindset of the average Nigerian soldier is still programmed to act as a colonial tool for usage of anything foreign to intimidate, exploit and even kill the indigenous people within the Nigerian space especially those from southern Nigeria.
You can see how pliable they are before ordinary citizens from Asian countries to the level of holding umbrellas and carrying bought items in the market place for them. These same soldiers will brutally torture a man (responsible father and husband) in his own country for very flimsy reasons calling them 'bloody civilians'. Is this Chinese man not a 'bloody civilian'? This is why I don't respect any of those animals. Their brains are still wired against the indigenous people.

Chinese turns Nigerian soldier to a maid in a market.

Nonsense! It's truer to say Nigerian soldier turns to maid for Chinese in a market, instead of making it sound like Chinese put JuJu on soldier.

And it's the soldier who should be sanctioned for selling his uniform for maid wage, which I'm certain is way more than his salary as a soldier.

They should make all this people sign before releasing any personnel to then

It's not late to withdrawal all uniformed men, get the applicant to sign an MoU of not disrespecting our uniform and re-integrate the men back to protecting them.

Nigeria Police and soldiers have been reduced to nothing.
Government should ban the use of Police and soldiers for Bodyguard.
Their are many private security companies for this.
Even Bill Gate,Elon Musk don't use Police and soldiers for Bodyguard.

Do we blame the soldier? Do we blame the Chinese citizen? I say we blame none of them. We should blame systemic failure of structures that are supposed to be in place to prevent such occurrences. Ineffectiveness of the government of the day in even trying to reverse these malicious trends.

Anyways can I be your IT plug cheesy

Lol I asked why dont VIPs use private security in my other thread. Everyone agreed on the problem but nobody liked my solution. Until the laws change the situation won't change.

Blue3k:
I do find this thread funny. Private security is undesirable because they lack firearms but no one wants to say allow them to carry weapons. Also mandate police to only do security for public events, witness protection, and certain public servants (judges, high ranking politicians etc). Everyone that feels they need extra protection can pay for it. It seems only issue people have with police is holding bags when their police manpower being stretched thin for our new aristocracy.

Most of these expatriates are usually guarded by mopol and soldiers. That's because they have a very high chance of kidnap.

Mopol is understandable. They normally guard civilians. But it’s insulting for a soldier to be guarding a civilian talk less of a foreigner.

What a life? Foreigners and Expatriates subjugating us to various demeaning , insensitive acts and caprices. Nothing to be proud about in this country, much especially as people do not have much choices and survival is very key to our existence ,even in the midst of countless challenges and endless struggles.

It's tough for me. I am having a meltdown and worst bout of depression but nobody cares and no one is listening ,even with my voice pitch so high.
