The filling station fire was started by a truck carrying cooking gas. If petrol cars were close to the burning truck won't they get burnt too?

So there's a 6000- 7500 deficit to cover @ 300 extra markup if bought @ 920 per litre.

Mostly surge trips ( trips less than 8km) n long trips with minimal traffic will do the trick.

1. Does it make sense that Nigerians abandon their petrol cars to start buying electric cars?

2. Do we have money to buy electric cars?

3. Can Nigerians convert to CNG? Yes

4. Do we have enough gas? Yes!

The only but is that the conversion kit is too expensive. I expect that the FG should subsidize it for over 1 or 2 years so people can make the necessary switch. That's if there's no subsidy on CNG though.

Yes CNG is safer than petrol. You already have the stats steering at you. Only Africa and Asia are adopting CNG. Petrol is globally available unlike CNG. You should ask why they are not creating the electric version of these cars instead of petrol versions. You can say it has nothing to do with Nigerians yet but you have to applaud the FG for attempting to drift into something safer and more affordable for Nigerians who cannot afford electric cars.

I don't go such routes, I have seen such location hit 11k on indrive atimes. If you hurry to pick trips, you will pick lower fares.

I took from ikeja to unilag 8000 on indrive, went through Gbadaga, no traffic. Soft trip. From Finbars road to Agric ikorodu on indrive 11,300. From agric to Ogudu 5700 (low but I was rushing home). My vehicle is a 1.6l engine. Those trips I used 8ltrs fuel less than 5000. To cover the 3trips.

You see the variance in the prices.
Indrive atimes offers good rates, but few peeps are so quick to accept rides on indrive thereby going for cheaper rates. I rather stay where I am for hours than to pick low rate trips except I am in an hurry.

I might have made more on bolt but I resent bolt for suggesting location I don't like, not bren able to choose my preferred location and distance.
I made money eventually through indrive. I just don't go about driving through traffic.

At the current pms price that 8l is almost 8000 naira

After all I can afford to drive to as many pu as I want since the cost of CNG is very low thereby reducing my running cost

Why don't they remove the subsidy and close the chapter once and for all make all man know the price is now fixed because like this that 800+ pms is selling for now will turn to 2000 tomorrow and we will still be hearing it's because they are still paying subsidy 😡

Most apartments on the island also offer drivers incentive when you bring a rider to lodge

The incentive depends on your bargain with the manager. For example ziroc apartment and villa thirty three.

Note: you need to register for free at these apartment as a driver and call the manager to inform him of your coming and bargain your price

I hear the transportation of CNG is very difficult and extremely capital intensive. That's why investment in CNG stations seem to be dragging. Infact, they said if you don't have existing CNG gas pipelines running through your state, forget about ever having CNG stations in the state.

Free market means you sell at your own price without any form of regulation. Fuel should be at least 1350 naira. That will be around 1500/1600 in other state. There's nothing like rush pick trip. You can't wait for hours for 1 in a million "golden trip" and you expect to meet target. Bolt is still far better than indrive. Just order on both app now(same location and same destination) and see the difference in price.

@pheelhip: that your 8k and 11k trip would be higher on bolt. Moreover you can now choose the trips you want on bolt. Reject as many as you want and accept the ones U want. Even if you deduct the 25%, the money left will still be more than indrive after their 10.76% deduction.

NB: I'm on comfort on both app

that's why indrive is better(for me), because I can decide to bid higher for this trip and the rider will accept.
PS.. this is the trip I talked about earlier, its even 12mins not 15

Exactly why I don't like the way Tinubu was quick to touch the forex. I expect that he will remove subsidy from petrol and subsidize forex till Dangote and other refineries start working. By then, forex demands will drop drastically and he would be able to remove forex subsidy too but Bàbá no send anybody oo.

CNG is transported using gas tankers to their destinations, just like PMS or AGO.

If stations are in place, it shouldn't be a problem.

PH should be having CNG stations sef. Greenville that is the major producer, has a plant on East/West road.
