Moffi was quiet good at AFCON when he was granted the opportunity to play. Awoniyi was great at AFCON 2022 too. Even Jackson has no goals for Senegal. Playing on the continent as a striker is not easy.

Things like that are done in friendlies. That is why I wonder what exactly our coaches are trying out in friendlies.
Secondly, our attacke needs ighalos finishing. On the average we create more chances than our opponent.
Even if you play defensive football you will loose if you don't convert your chances. Ighalo has the confidence to convert chances. These other strikers we have lack the confidence and experience to convert chances into goals.
He can come in I'm the last 30 minutes to convert our chances into goals.
It is not about competition. He does not always have to play but whenever we need to score he can come in and play.
Roger Milla played this role at italia 90. Experience counts in football

It's only when these teams play against Nigeria that they play better. They are all below average teams ooo. Nigeria really messed up

My main concern is how he intends to win with what he has.
Is Eguavoen really a tactician? Football played these days is more about tactics.

Is Eguavoen daring? Is Eguavoen willing to take risks and make a name for himself, or is playing safe his uttermost concern.

I hope Eguavoen has improved.

Haven't heard of him going for a refresher's course or anything like that in recent times.

I just hope he succeeds this time. I like his personality.

There is nothing wrong with 4-4-2, watch his team play afcon 2021, a 4-2-3-1 in possession & 4-4-2 without the ball with quick transition & directness exploiting the opponents zone 14. We were just unfortunate against Tunisia.

I'm OK with the 4-2-3-1 variation, but the flat out 4-4-2? No!!

Against Tunisia, he saw that our wings were clipped, so, he thought to tweak things by bringing Iwobi in to make things happen from the middle, too bad he was sent off just moments after coming on.

AE is definitely not to blame for that.
