Scoring first helped
So Benin had to come out and play
When they were playing compact in the first half, we were finding it difficult to pass
And because we didn't have ball playing midfielders, we were struggling to control the game

Better teams might have scored us first and that would have been a problem
We can't play with this midfield against better teams
They would punish us severely
That's Genot Rohr style
Seat back and soack the pressure

And go for the kill on counter

But unfortunately Eguavon had better idea on the night

First to score and spoiled thier plans

I made this post in October 2023, the day of our game against Saudi Arabia, there were comments saying I was over hyping him, that he's trash for the Super Eagles, and he even played bad against Saudi that day after this post, so those people thought they've gotten me where they want, but man, I know a gem when I see one, no be Cho Cho Cho. Workings dey!

I no dey hype aimlessly, I can hype but with factual stats! Fast forward ⏩ to 2024, in less than a year, Man's on the Ballon d'Or nominations.

Somebody shout POWER! 🔥

I like the team unity I see amongst the boys
They seem more united and the way they all ran to celebrate with Osimhen yesterday shows they all support one another
Team unity is an excellent foundation for growth and success..
If we support AE, he has the makings of a good coach
22 SE games handled, 15 wins..
The man clearly has it in him
He just needs to be given time to grow with the team
Absolutely spot on. He's never had even as good a stretch of time as 3 years. We like magic too much. So once he gets one bad result, we start crying. Yet see the series of poor results Rohr had before his employment was terminated.

imagine a match rusty Osimhen came in and the Benin defenders were kept on their toes

Boniface didn’t cause the opposition any problem through out his time on the pitch
We are all here don't worry

Let's see how far his immature antics on twitter will get him

It becomes 0.94 Goal Contributions per game if we take out the Togo game that isn't recognised in Fifa records.

Osimhen factually has 22 Goals, 11 assists in 35 games (Minus the Togo game where Rohr made 9 subs).

Some people are now saying Lookman is better than Osimhen and vice versa. This is my take on the issue. Nigerians will always cause divisions between players.

Nigeria has only lost 3 games Victor Osimhen played in since he became our top 9, and he's played like 30 already... The last 7 games without Osimhen has 1 win, 3 draws and 3 losses. We have won only one match after the AFCON, and, don't get me wrong, Ademola Lookman is a stellar player and one of the best wingers in the world, but Osimhen's impact and mentality takes that team's morale to the ceiling!

Nigeria had a goal lead courtesy of an Ademola Lookman's brilliance, but Benin were already growing in confidence and pressing Nigeria so much and even had two decent shots on target. Osimhen came in, scored within six minutes, drove the defence to stay in their place and created more space for attacking operations due to the two man marking on him...

Impact no pass this one! If they like it or not Osimhen is the most impactful player in the Super Eagles team!
Lookman is the best player in his position and his combo with Osimhen gives you a deadly duo.

I just hope these players don't read the rubbishhhhh spewed online by Nigerians. They're the best in their respective positions and they are two African Bests in one team, haba!

That's the problem

When Jose Peseiro lost woefully to portugal they say give him more time

Why can't we give time to our home grown coaches to also do better

Imagine just one lose for Finidi George and they were planning to geta foreigner who doesn't even have African experience or a good c.v to become his boss he did a honourable thing to walk away

Okey let hire English men to take over our NFF class house

Sir,your comment here is all about Osimhen a better player than Lookman.Till date,Osimhen has the followers and well love by many,so if few are saying Lookman is the new face, let’s us respect their opinions and good for eagles having another player that world is acknowledging and hope to see the likes of Onyedika,Bashiru emerging as world class.

Keshi and Amodu has this “compacting and decent in the midfield then counter attacking mindset/philosophy of playing football
