Kamala do you bear any responsibility for the Afghanistan withdrawal?

No response just lots of words and nothing to address the question
That's her specialty. Even in her sit down with Dana Bash and Tampon Timmy she ducked every tough question like Neo in Matrix

Trump called into fox and said the ABC licence should be taken away from them.
Honestly what ABC did was blatant election interference.
Earlier a report on David Muir show since June showed Trump had 93% negative spin while Kamala had 100% positive spin.
In other words Trump was in the lions den last night.
They were well prepared for the cats and dogs claim,Kamala quickly quipped raising questions on whether the three had rehearsed the gotcha moment

Megyn Kelly statement on the ABC sacrilege - I couldn't find a better word.

Compare and contrast. Just look at how many times Kamala was pressed vs Trump

Trump walked into an ambush. He was definitely caught off guard by the 'moderators' being pro Kamala. I think he did well enough considering the circumstances. He landed some jabs but not a lot you can do with a biased umpire officiating the fight.

If they do debate again Trump really needs to be surgical and keep it short and sweet. He's a natural talker and can sometimes talk himself into trouble. Kamala is an intellectual featherweight. This is someone that got destroyed by Tulsi Gabbard ffs
Trump lies about demonstrably provable things. They could have fact checked him all night. They didn't. You can't have a debate when one person just pushed provable false things. He puts ABC in a bad position of pushing disinformation to voters. Trump should try not lying.

Someone you think got destroyed by Tulsi destroyed Trump. What does that tell you?

I liked the way she immediately broke out of the gate and began outlining her policy. What was silly was that each time she gave specifics on her policy, Orange man would say, “she doesn’t have any policies.” 🤣😂
All her policies was about spending money, you can't build a country on that! Capitalism made America.

So far, I have seen:
1. Trump won - (in your dreams)
2. Kamala was given questions ahead of the debate
3. Her earrings are earphones and it is Obama answering for her.
4. ABC is owned by some Kamala friends family.

What a shame! What a disgrace to decency!

After all the waffling the voters kuku know who they will vote when push comes to shove. They have compared 16-20 vs 20-24.

All this debate is bants. Unfortunately for SKamala she has the unique misfortune of being the copilot of the trainwreck that Biden's presidency has been so how can she sell that a mediocre VP would somehow make a good President. That's illogic

What wasn’t a lie? When Kamala mentioned Trump filing for bankruptcy six times. He didn’t dare to correct her on that because he can’t deny the truth.
Filling for bankruptcy doesn't mean he is reckless, it all about managing risks. And besides at age 77 and a billionaire, it shows his level of relentless to success in life, that is one of the traits of a leader.

kkins25:
The interviewers were fair and square. Although Trump was able to overpower them a couple of times, Kamala tried and failed, I think about twice. She's not an assertive type it seems.

Kamala had a slight upper hand in the debate because she was more eloquent with her presentation. However, it was obvious she was trying too hard to dig into her audience's emotions, even making the mistake of omitting men when she was calling out casualties of war---"women and children." Meaning she was addressing women. angry For many of her answers, it felt like I was listening to one of those motivational self-help books. yuck! Do better Kamala!

Towards the latter part where she was reporting on current administration performance were her most impressionable moments.

Key questions, like efforts to curb Russia's infiltration, the war in Gaza, Russia's threat, and couldn't rebuke alot of Trump's claims like the EU now depends on Russia for oil. That would have been great Trump (pun intended) cards.

Everybody is concerned about Immigration, the media has done a "great job" of reporting immigrant crimes from all over the West. Kamala didn't properly address that attack from Trump (He kept hammering on it grin grin grin). These were Trump's most impressionable moments albeit presented like an 8-year-old throwing a tantrum.

Trump made some slip-ups which I think Kamala could have hammered on. I like how quiet he went when the reporter called out his bluff on the "chop dog issue." Kamala wasn't quick on her toes here.

There was room for Trump to rebrand his stance on abortion laws, but he ended up dodging that question. The states bleh bleh bleh. But, he did state that even Kamala couldn't fight them. On this matter, to me, it was a stalemate.

Trump did a great job of tying her with Biden. Kamala was too gracious and did her best to not throw Biden under the bus. But, some statements she made did though. Instead of blatantly stating that "Biden hates her" I believe that could have been put more poetically. Don't expect much from demur from Trump though.

One thing's for certain. All the criminal allegations against Trump weren't beaten as I hoped, and it was obvious seeing how quickly he dismissed them. Kamala didn't hammer on that as I thought she would. She's very lucky she didn't have any scandalous allegations like Hilary. I guess her lawyer instincts were stopping her from making claims that would come back to bite her. Oh Kamala, Trump likes to go low, so go lower next time!

If Trump were in her shoes, he'd have won this debate by a landslide. Trump would have smoked her pretty easily, given that's what he does best.

Trump had a great opportunity to offload claims of inflammation on Kamala, but he didn't have the figures to back up his rants. What a great opportunity he lost. Kamala quickly turned the tables around and left Trump trying to muster any figure that poped into his head.

I'm surprised Trump didn't bring up taxing the rich. I was waiting to see how Kamala would defend that claim. hahahah.....omo, I for don gather list of all her donors! Trump fvk up for this debate.
This was fair.
Some gripes. Abortion was probably one of Harris's best answers that night. Wasn't close. Trump was all to happy to not talk about it anymore. It's a lose lose. He loses more women or he loses his evangelical base.
As to the war casualties, she said women and children as she didn't want to get into trouble as men could be seen as combatants by some.

You are right, Harris did miss some good opportunities, a couple more than you mentioned. But part of it, is what she went into the debate to do. She wanted to do no harm. And you have to understand, that black people in the US are seen as Angry and temperamental, even more so black women. She was trying to walk the line of being tough but not being seen as an Angry Black person, or a temperamental woman or both. I think she pulled off what she wanted.

Yes, if Trump had all the ammunition Kamala did, he would have pummeled her with it, just like he bulldozed his way through the moderators. But that's because Trump is a white man who can get away with that and that's who Republicans and their base are.
But, there is no universe that this version of Trump beats Kamala. This was his one chance. She'll be more prepared, understand how to debate him, haven't done it, and she will have more confidence next time.

You should probably check out how much money the US subsidies farmers in Red States. You pay money one way or the other. You can pay up front to promote innovation and new businesses which will reap more money for the US through it's taxes or pay in the back end when you pay more for welfare, police, and incarceration.

Look at Nigeria and the international businesses that are leaving because the government isn't investing (spending more money) on things like infrastructure. One could argue that child care is even infrastructure.

It actually does. A study was done that says that if he had just invested the money his father gave him and did nothing else, he would have had more money than he had pre-Presidency. Obviously he made a ton of money post Presidency. Esp. this last year on his Truth social.

NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Times reported Tuesday that President Donald Trump received at least $413 million from his father over the decades, much of that through dubious tax dodges, including outright fraud.

Trump cannot do that.
Do you really think no one told him to avoid her baits? Even during the breaks.
He decided not to listen to them.

The thing is that we have way slicker candidates on the conservative bench.
But the core of the voting block do not trust them like they do Trump.
They know Trump will build the wall. They know he will carry out deportations. They know he will drill baby drill and be pro-fossil fuels. They know he will avoid wars.

So it's like a package deal. He has this great record, but all you need to trip him up is say he draws small crowds. His ego will not let him be effective. But if you bring in a smooth talker like Vivek, Rubio, or even Pence; the base will not trust that they'll follow through.
A second debate would be better for him. He tends to listen only after his stubbornness blows up in his face. So he'll finally listen to his debate advisors, like he only listened to them in 2020 after the first was a dumpster fire. But that's 4 wasted weeks when we could have started running away with this election.

The positives to draw is that Kamala ducked and weaved and he laid into her the handful of times he comported himself.
I'm confident that by next week, the debate is old news and we're back to "Kamala, why did you you push for tax-funded gender change treatments for illegal migrants in 2019".

In all, he did okay. The only reason why the race is close while he has the advantage on economy, immigration, and foreign policy is that he has flaws and last night one flaw floated to the top. Trump has an ego is no surprise to 90% of Americans. But it'll be a short drag because Americans will go out to the grocery stores and still see the high prices. Migrants will commit more crimes, stream across the border, and be given handouts while Americans rack up credit card debt and can't afford housing. The realities do not change because you got Trump to bloviate about how much his father left him.

American' are facing real crises and Harris and her tag team masquerading as moderators fixated on the candidate Trump. And failed to make the case about fixing the current mess tied to her administration. Her debate performance will have about as much effect as her DNC speech. Both were celebrated, but the convention bounce did not happen.

Lordreed. I was quite right about her appearing taller.

[quote]NEW: Kamala Harris will have a miniature podium during tonight’s debate on ABC against Donald Trump.

The move was requested by Harris’ team who is afraid she will look tiny compared to Trump.

The smaller podium will make it so the candidates look the same size during the televised split screen.

As noted by Axios, Harris and Trump have one of the largest height differences among presidential nominees in United States history.

Trump is 6’3’’ while Harris is 5’4’’.

One Trump campaign official said the smaller podium “looks like the kids table” at Thanksgiving.

Dude how could she have appeared taller? Why the heck is it so easy to trick your brain?

1.) Why invade when you could just get Trump to destabilize NATO and then have Trump let you take Ukraine, once he's reelected.
2.) The US was spending 300 million a day in Afghanistan. Add that up in 1 year and compare that to what we "gave" Ukraine.
3.) We don't really give Ukraine a lot of actual cash (we do give some). We give them money to buy US weapons or supplies which then also supports the economy in those areas where the factories are located in the US. And they tend to be Republican areas.
Also we give them old weapons which we would have to spend money destroying anyhow. And there is actual value in seeing how our weapons work "in combat".
4.) Ukraine is not the US. We are basically hiring an army (Ukraine) to fight Russia and advance our interests while US troops stay safe. Sounds evil, but that is what Big boys do on the world stage.

Another gobbledegook from you. NATO became stronger under Trump.
If he is destabilizing NATO and a pal with Putin, isn't that the right time to invade? Use some brain cells

By your figures 3.6 billion a year. War started in 2022 the US has spent more than 200 billion.

It's simple maths. By this rate, they are outspending Afghanistan and it was the US's war not another nation.
