Lagos state as all known is a dynamic and multicultural city hosting almost every tribes in Nigeria and western Africa. Aside from being a cosmopolitan city, it is also the economic capital of Nigeria and the entire west Africa.

Though not too big in landmass but it has an estimated population of about twenty three million (23 million) dwellers with several other people who comes for their daily businesses in Lagos but resides in the neibouring Ogun state.

It is interesting to state that though the capital of Nigeria is Abuja but Lagos state being a former capital of the country generate about sixty percent of the Federal government revenue as it housed headquarters of several indigenous and multinational organisations operating in diverse sectors of the economy. It is pertinent to also state that Lagos state though an oil producing state according to the Nigerian National Petroleum Commission (NNPC), it is the home of the only functioning Petroleum refinery in Nigeria (Dangote refinery) located around Ibeju-Lekki axis of the state.

Lagos indigenes are known to be highly welcoming and accommodating which has made Lagos a home for all and a safe place for investors.

Lagos is divided into five patches which are :

1. Epe - Owned by the Ijebu people from Ogun state

2. Ikorodu - Owned by the Ijebu people from Ogun state

3. Badagry - Owned by the Eguns from Benin Republic

4. Lagos Mainland - A mixture of different groups such as : Egba, Awori, Ijebu, Ilaje and some other Youba tribes.

5. Lagos Island - This is also a mixture of different groups such as Bini, Ijebu, Ilaje, Brazilian, Oyo, Tapa, Saro etc.

Lagos is a home for all, peaceful, accommodating and a friendly environment for business and leisure.
