Agwu also said that the Navy had to come into the issuance of bunkering permit because Nigeria is the only country in the world where oil theft occurs, hence the Naval intervention. ![]() This sums up everything about Nigeria Its not about the FG....An average Nigerian is extremely corrupt |

This is not inherently wrong if it is being doing within a formal legal framework. It's not relevant whether or not other countries do so too. We need Nigerian solutions for Nigerian challenges. |

You can imagine. The bunkering they're referring to, is it the one that covers those illegally bursting pipelines of the oil companies? Or this will make the bunkering guys have proper crude sourcing from the upstream guys? |

TouchNfollow:HE IS A PETTY THIEF. THIS IS ALL DONE TO EMBEZZLE AND STEAL MORE MONEY. UNTIL SOME OF THESE ADMINSITRATORS ARE MADE SCAPEGOATS AND SEVERELY PUNISHED, THE OTHERS WILL CONTINUE IN THIS BRAZEN DISREGARD FOR THE LAWS OF THIS COUNTRY. CIMINAL NAVAL OFFICERS AND THEIR RANK AND FILE. THIS IS ILLEGAL AND YOUR JUSTIFICATION CAN ONLY FOOL IDIOTS. NO WHERE IN THE LAW OR CONSTITUTION DOES THE NAVY HAVE ANY SINGLE POWER TO GRANT SUCH A LICENSE. THIS IS A FUNCTION OF THE NUPRC AND NMDPRA. YOU ARE JUST TRYING TO FLEECE THE LEGAL BUNKERERS. WHY DID YOU NOT DEVISE A SYSTEM TO VERIFY THE LICENSES ISSUED BY NUPRC AND NMDPRA? COLLABORATE WITH THEM. YOU EVADE THE ISPS CODE IMPLEMENTATION COMMITTEE MEETINGS. YOU DO NOT ATTEND. YOU AVOID A LOT OF ENGAGEMENTS TO MAKE COLLABORATION WORK BETWEEN YOUR SECURITY AGENCY AND THOSE LEGALLY SADDLED WITH RESPONSIBILITIES OF ISSUING OPERATING LICENSES. NOW YOU ARE LOOKING FOR HOW TO STEAL MIILIONS FROM VESSEL AND BARGE OWNERS. NO WHERE IN THE WORLD TOO THOSE THE NAVY PLAY A PART IN LICENSING OIL AND GAS OPERARATIONS. ANYWAY I DONT BLAME YOU. A COUNTRY WHERE IN AN ORGANIZATIONS BUDGET, THEY BUDGET HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS TO CARRY OUT ACTIVITIES THAT ARE NOT REMOTELY THEIR BUSINESS IN ANY FORM. YOU ARE JUST A SIMPLE THIEF OGA. THAT IS WHAT YOU ALL ARE. AND AS I WILL SAY IN SITUATIONS LIKE THIS ONE .....''OUR COLLECTIVE PRAYERS IS THAT GOD WILL KILL ALL OF YOU''!!! |

AntiChristian:He is busy doing what he worked for, this is not his priority, you actually think he came to work for you? SmartyPants:They are stealing your natural resources away and you are justifying it just because you want to support Tinubu's government, do you know how much Nigeria loses daily to bunkering? You guys are so engrossed in politics that you sometimes forget to be human beings... DevilsEqual:It doesn't sum up anything, if you claim an average Nigerian is corrupt, is that why you should make a corrupt person your leader, leaders are supposed to lead by example to teach the followers, so what is Tinubu teaching Nigerians now? |

Imagine A British Navy officer, Commander Dan Wiskett told Vanguard that the British Navy is not in any way involved in the commercial activities of his country. |

Brendaniel:I've observed you're not too clever, so your misguided comment doesn't surprise me, but you can manage by being more attentive. In this article, you were told that the Nigerian Customs Service routinely issues licenses for bunkering, which should have made you understand that there is illegal bunkering and there is legal bunkering. The point of this article is whether it is proper for the Navy to grant such licenses as opposed to the Customs Service. There is no illegal act here. Slow minds should read the above thrice please. The more clever ones may wish to gain a better understanding by reviewing this page: https://www.nuprc.gov.ng/fg-lifts-embargo-on-oil-bunkering-operations/ |

DevilsEqual:I don't know what is wrong with you people and rushing online to call every Nigerian names. Yesterday it was IAmANigerianMan calling all nigerians wicked and evil. It's not like you even read the post well to see where that statement you highlighted was debunked. You just saw it immediately and ran online to disgrace your family thinking you're disgracing Nigeria. I bet you didn't bother to read the below in your haste to rubbish Nigerians and lick the as$ of the government. However, some stakeholders who spoke to Vanguard debunked the claims by the Navy saying that crude oil theft occurs all over the world but that the Navies of other countries are not involved in the commercial activities of their shipping industries. The navy guy seeing that he has been caught, he changed mouth below. “I agree that there is oil theft in some parts of the world but our own situation is worse than what is obtainable elsewhere. All those areas you just mention do not have creeks like we have in Nigeria. Even with the kind of measure the government has put in place, oil theft is still going on, oil pipelines are still being broken.I will give you the same advice I gave IAmANigerianMan yesterday. Speak for yourself alone. If you are corrupt, say that you are corrupt and don't rope every Nigerian into your miserable vices |
| Re: Controversy Trails Navy’s Issuance Of Bunkering License by Brendaniel: 11:04am On Sep 13, 2024 |
SmartyPants:I think you are referring to yourself, the whole issue still boils down to oil theft, if the issuance or license by the navy or customs did not reduce oil theft then it means that either the navy are not doing their jobs or they are conniving with those issued license to steal the oil, because their primary job is to protect Nigeria's waters which they have failed to do. Nigeria still loses hundreds of thousands of battles daily, so what is the navy doing about it? |

Originalsly:Same answer. It's not inherently wrong if it is done within a formal, legal, and transparent framework. What would be your reason for opposing it? |
