Americans have had British, German, Irish and Dutch Presidents. For instance, Kennedy was Irish, the Bushes were British, Trump is German, Biden is Irish. Yes 46 presidents and none is Spanish. Meanwhile the Spaniards were the first to arrive in the US, Christopher Columbus himself wasn't from the "Presidents countries". He was Italian. Yet despite the pioneering of Spain and Italy, the US has never had a Spanish or Italian President. Yet it doesn't mean a thing to these White people. Ditto for the case of the so called Lagos indigenes. It means nothing to us Yoruba people. As long as Lagos state is in the hands of its owners, we don't care. Whether it's an indigene Yoruba from Epe or Egba from Abeokuta, or Okun from Ijumu. The point is we are all Yoruba people. There's no discrimination. So the immigrants who come to Lagos should mind their businesses and focus on the wealth they came to work for. Imagine an Asian immigrant coming to Tell Americans that they have not had Spanish or Italian Presidents, instead of focusing on building a future for his family. |

Doylestown92:Your analogy should then mean ,any Nigerian can rule LAGOS. Cos all those Europeans are different ethnic groups with differing languages. It means America like Lagos is no mans land |

MEEVEET:As in eh. At the end he ended up calling some Nigerians Immigrants in Nigeria All in a bid to defend nonsense. Go to your Home State and contest whatever position you desire. Leave the indigenous people of a State to govern their State. |

MEEVEET:Well, all over the world, everyone knows their jurisdictions and respect it or choose not to and face the consequences. In the UK, the Welsh cannot go to Lord over England. Neither can the English go to dictate to Scotland. Everyone knows their places. In Canada, people from Quebec won't go to interfere in the affairs of British Columbia. In the US, someone from Atlanta can run his mouth negatively about Latinos, but he cannot go to do that in Florida. Neither can a person from Florida go to Minnesota and try to make a case about the Somalis there. You're only noticed as an "immigrant" in your own country, the moment you cross your boundaries to interfere beyond your jurisdiction. If you leave certain matters to those it concerns, nobody will have a problem with you. |

Can a Yoruba man from Oyo state go to Osun state to run for elections without discrimination? https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/oau-vc-ife-indigenes-resume-protest/%3famp Ps: Italians and Irish were heavily discriminated against in America (they weren't even considered white) Today Mexicans (who are descendants of Spanish and Native Americans) are heavily regulated from migrating into USA |

christejames:(Scoffs). We both know you're Igbo, and that's not a crime. Take pride in your identity. That's the only way to earn respect. Stop fighting for another person's identity. You're a real Igbo man, isn't that beautiful? Why must you feel ashamed? Put on your father Christmas cap, be proud of who you are. Now go in peace, son. |

Doylestown92:There is nothing like migrants in Nigeria as far as you are a Nigerian you can live, work, vote and be voted for anywhere in Nigeria that is how it is in same USA you gave as example.Somebody from New York can become governor in Califonia where he lives and pay taxes. |

Thank you for this history. It is very clear that we Yoruba are united and that we have no migrant Yoruba. This is the same in Yorubaland, whether you come from Ijebu, Ife, Ijesha, Egbaland, Akokoland, it doesn't matter, once you are a Yoruba, you are one and we treat you as such. May God bless Yoruba and Nigeria for ever! |

Zulu11zulu:Those yoruba against Biafra, their children will one day beg and fight for Biafrans to have their own country and by then it will be too late. Their saving grace is if Biafra comes in this our generation |
