Saying how much PMS will sell per liter has become rocket science

Stewpid party called APC

The current state of Nigeria and the gradual destruction of the country was planned and executed at Ojota in 2012. We are where we are because of those useless people who came out to protest back then, but are suddenly dumb because their brother is on rampage destroying Nigeria
this our country get as e be.why can't the CBN governor tell us how much they will be selling the crude to Dangote in naira and also in return allow Dangote to let the country know how much he too will be willing to selling the petrol to the masses

Why will any other party buying dangote party in Nigeria pay for import duty?

How much is the import duty?

Who is "the third party"?
Dangote yard is at eleko refinery all other import yard is at apapa
Who is the other third party and how will that party lift it's products into its without clearance from the customs, dpr and inland revenue

I still don't understand this arrangement oooo.

Why should NNPC be the sole distributor of petrol from a private refinery of someone you once accused of monopoly in Nigeria, for a product you claim to be fully deregulated?

This whole NNPC-DANGOTE rigmarole raises a lot of doubts, on the intent of this administration in providing affordable petrol to Nigerians.

I think both NNPC and DANGOTE are looking for an exploitative advantage. cry
OVH-Dangote...two private firms

We want our refineries. I think I have lost all trust for this APC government. Nigerians has he fulfilled any of the promises he made before the protest when he came out to address the country? Well ,let elections come I cannot imagine how anyone will vote for APC.

Haven't the entire downstream NNPC(NNPC Retail) been dissolved and shares transferred to Tinubu's Oando? The Headline should read: Dangote will only sell petrol to Oando angry angry angry

so they can place the of petrol to us at any desired price they want. Nnpc Is the major problem nigeria is facing. And NNPC is the presidency cos he is the minister of petrol. Dangote wanna sell cheaper petrol but the govt doesn't want it. They wanna make sure they make money off the poor citizens

He has been overruled again on Dangote
He works as directed by the minister of petroleum which is president tinubu

NNPCL is technically exchanging its crude it sells in naira to DRL for the refined products. It makes perfect business sense to be the offtaker and marketers will now buy from it at a strategic margin.

Smh. On top refinery business? Refinery business that is a thin-margin business.
Why is diesel exempt as its also produced from crude oil...why not capture all the by products going by your logic?

it's IPMAN, the real enemy of Nigeria that tinubu wants to get rid of finally. In another 1 year you'll all be thanking him once those fools (IPMAN)have been taken care of the forces of demand and supply will come into play.if petrol is readily available for 6 months there's no way the price will not crash. Using naira value to supply the crude is a master stroke for 2 reasons 1.the price of petrol will no longer be affected by the dollar, 2.nnpc will finally become an income generating venture because money will start coming in everyday from October 1.They can now list on the stock exchange and start selling shares.

This arrangement is more or less a crude and petroleum product swap. FG still wants to control the price of the products.

NNPC is mandated to supply crude to dangote and accept naira. Hence NNPC is a player in the petroleum products distribution it's easy to pay them back the value of their crude with product. This helps both entities cashflow. Government wants to maintain partial subsidy no matter how small as consumers can't take all the costs for now.

Besides marketers have lodged money with NNPC for months awaiting supplies. NNPC has orders already placed for importation. Maybe they want to blend their cost and gradually either reduce importation or stop entirely.

Dangote equally needs time to source for crude from IOCs so that they will not be dependent on NNPC only.

This initial hiccup is expected as we have not passed through it before and the product in question affects every life.

Overall government must make their refineries to work that is when the market will be fully deregulated and Nigerians fully benefit.

Overall we will come out fine. We are on the right part though very challenging. I'm suffering it too.

NNPCL will buy all the petrol from Dangote and in turn sell to retailers. I suspect NNPCL will do under recovery of cost aka subsidy so the PMS cost will not be over the roof.
Very correct assumption or maybe zero profit for now.

Which subsidy is government maintaining?

How much is that subsidy and what percentage of the price of a litre of fuel does that subsidy cover?

Who fixed price at N897?

Which cost is being under recovered?

How will pms cost be over the roof without nnpc being the sole buyer of dangote fuel?
