WannaHowzit:Ok, fair enough. I missed them. Good job. But Nigerian scientists and academics are doing very well there, and that shows the narrative of Nigerians being just drug dealers in South Africa is false, misleading and bigoted. |
| Re: 5 Nigerians Made The List Of Top 100 Scientists In Africa For 2025 by WannaHowzit(m): 10:44pm On Sep 14, 2024 |
Rossikk:It also shows the narrative black South Africans are stupid, lazy and dominated by Nigerians is just false empty chest-beating lapped up by ignorant people. You were trying to push the narrative that a Nigerian was dominating SA scientists, even white ones. If i didn't push back you were gonna get away with it and become a fact. Typical story of Nigerians 🇳🇬👎🏾. I'll give you the benefit of doubt though (olive branch) 🕊️🕊️🕊️ |

Life's just hard for Nigerians sha. Just one thing to celebrate amid the existential circumstances, and one slowpoke, wannahowzit, with the global highest index of inferiority complex, from South Africa, decided to make the thread totally dreary and unamusing until everyone left the fool to his ordained destiny of idiocy. Life's funny anyway, you'll be surprised some people have no life, they just exist to mismanage the O2 concentration in the atmosphere. |

Meanwhile, kudos to these lecturers. I'm quite happy and unastonished it's the Yorubas holding the light for others in Nigeria once again. I would say more of this be reciprocated among other Nigerian public schools than UI, but when considering how much others get in respect to UI, I'll keep mute. Unilorin for instance isn't even in the top 10 schools getting good allocation, yet it manages to contribute its quota – just as a professor, Prof Funke Dare, recently discovered another drug for leukaemic cancer, Iloneoside, there. Enough funding will get other universities to sprawl up and contribute better in Nigeria. |

https://www.nairaland.com/7907700/story-clifford-orji-nigerias-first The most popular custodian of skull mining in Nigeria is of your people. https://www.nairaland.com/8129629/police-arrest-anambra-couple-selling The list is inexhaustible, and I could go on and on. Don't be so quick to point your finger next time.If I hail those of my people for their positive exploits, from music, education, to science, then you keep shut and keep your stinking vile envy to yourself. Whether if your people work as hard and don't go about polluting our images as a country, we'll be better for it and not this earmarked for bad PR. But because 3 of those four were from your tribe, it's something to celebrate?Well, I mind living in the SE, but I still feel safe and comfortable here where I am. And what stops your people from contributing 3 people or even more likewise? Or have they been cursed with absenteeism in most positive things? Or SE doesn't have quality universities? Next time you keep shut and don't attempt to water down the effort of others. You create your own success through effort too and stick it up their face, that's how to express envy and hatred.

If all Nigerian Universities, pubic a private, push a bit as hard or a bit harder than UI we should have close to 50 or 60 Nigerians in that list. The federal government should prioritize education and fund out university for their efficiency. The recent hike in school fees will strike a debilitating blow on our education system in few years to come as most indigent students who are bundles of raw talent and brilliance are being marginalised and denied access to education. ASUU too should learn to sing new song. It is not about asking for salary increament and allowances. They should be transparent and make the world know how they are using the little in the covers |

God bless @WannaHowzit of SA. He has successfully stopped a serious fight this morning on NL between the Yorubas and the Igbos. Before the bigots from both sides wake up, the thread has already been saturated and they went into research for information and data to fight the SA guy. Until we're ready as a nation, the elders has given the youths the internet with which they browse to forget their future? |

obiekunie01:Unless you are in the field of science and research, you won't understand their contribution to knowledge. I'll suggest you read some of their papers to find out. I was in an Environmental science workshop outside Nigeria recently and the guest speaker was a Nigerian woman who has contributed so much in terms of climate change...that was my first time of hearing about her, but very well known within the circle of environmentalist's...that's how it works |

Nigerians makes up every 1 in 5 Africans which is 20%. If we are only getting 5 scientists in 100 African scientists, then that's very very poor. Very very poor. Population wise, it should be atleast 20 scientists. |
