What Is Happening To Nigerian Banks As Bank Transactions Are Just Hanging Anyhow by guobe(op): 12:55pm On Sep 18, 2024
For more than a month Sterling bank have been experiencing failed bank transactions and they claim they are upgrading lol very funny people.
Even a large amount of my money went missing for sometime and it was recently reversed.
Yesterday, I sent someone some money ,the money didn't get to its destination as it went missing in action.
Today ,someone sent money to my Ecobank from Zenith bank account , money was deducted from his account and more than 3 hours now ,I have not seen alert.
I went to Ecobank to complain and they said it
didn't come.
That is the sorry state our banking sector have now turned into and nobody is regulating them as the people that are suppose to regulate are more interested in the bank charges they get as revenue.

They are standing with one leg as you see they are being controlled anyhow by the regulatory authorities.
Last time they told them to stop accepting new customers.
You can bank small amount of money with them but large amount I will advise you use regular banks.

nope I have upgrade my account on OPay from 50k per day to 5m naira upward per day. And the upgrading is very easy. Online banks are the best so far. My first bank account is in dormant state since last year.

That Sterling Bank issue is still affecting me till now.
It has been 3 weeks now money was supposedly sent to my account from a Sterling Bank account holder, he showed me transaction receipt and everything but till now nothing.
I took the transaction id to my bank ,they claimed it never dropped, the sender did the same and they said they would reverse, up till now nothing was reversed.
Just borrowing money up and down and looking like nuisance meanwhile my money is hanging somewhere.
I don't even know who's lying again between Sterling Bank and the sender.

moniepoint issues have been solved. Maybe you should upgrade your account to the larger amount of money your account will be accepting

The funniest thing is that people take advantage of this to tell you they have sent money but their bank is having issues.

Though they might truly send but when they get reversal, they won't tell you again.

It's funny how u think the amount of monie as small as 5k u are expecting in monie point is related to how good a network the bank will serve u...

Shows u are an aggregator..not bad Sha to help clean Ur firms name in public

they may have network glitches but not every time. Nigerians are using moniepoints terminal on daily basis and it works well.

Listen to words of wisdom..
Use them for transactions less than 50k and don't save anything higher than that in their account.
Use regular bank app for higher amounts .

It's been happening for over a month now like that and the so called central bank does not deem it feet to call them to order.
It's such a pity.
Big shame.
