The oil found in Niger Delta were drilled for 50 years with money from the West & North. Cocoa & Lagos Seaport in the west and groundnut from the nut. Under the Commission of 19th February-1866, the Settlement of Lagos was governed by an Administrator and a Legislative Council responsible to the Governor of the West African Settlements residing in Sierra Leone.

This continued until 1874. 1. Go and find out by yourself. Even during UPN era of1979-1983, I attended free school in the SW with a lot of friends from all parts of the country, including the north, SE and SS, Bendel (Edo/Delta).
It is a shame you are looking for a name of a prominent person from SE and SS. Are you saying that the ordinary people from SE and SS who benefitted from the free education are not human beings or are not useful to themselves and society?
