Firstly, you've confused sex with gender, two different things according to science! Next, we are Africans, which African mother would leave her young daughter alone to go to a public restroom without following her? Abroad is even better because female restrooms are not like that of men, there's privacy so if your youndg daughter locks the door, there won't be a problem!

All in all, we seem to be taking panadol on imaginary issues with pretty simple solutions! If we are cool with BBL and other advances brought by science and human dissastisfaction, I don't see where we can draw the line at transgenderism. Now would I ever encourage such, hell no! Does that mean I spew hate and say they don't deserve to live and be happy?

We need to let humans live the way they want to, as long as we are not personally affected.......I've yet to see one credible critic(Apart from sports) explain how transgenderism negatively affects him or her!

No doubt ... in theory and definition sex and gender are not the same ...but in general usage either is used to refer to male or female ... as in a transgender is seen as one who has changed his sex by identifying as the opposite sex ... or undergoing surgeries or treatments to mimic the body of the opposite sex ... almost all being men wanting to have breasts and crevices as women. Just bear in mind this is a public discussion forum and not an examination .
On washrooms abroad ... women washrooms are so designed that one can see only the woman entering the washroom ... can't see the stalls ... can't see what they do after they enter....even if the door is left open. The girl will enter the stall by herself... do what she has to do ...and comes out of the stall but still in the privacy of the washroom where the mother will fix her clothes or whatever before she leaves. And no ..the father is not allowed in. The pedophile uses the transgender rule to enter the washroom ...so when he comes out of the stall he will be spying on the little girls as their parents wipe them off ...change their underwear or whatever. There are also perverts who use the same method to have access. Transgender may not affect you personally ... but your children and the society as a whole. For example ... in California ... the child has the right to decide his identity. Your son ...attending school ... can decide he wants to be a girl ..ehmmm ...identify as a girl. He is allowed to change his name and the school must make the necessary adjustments. It is illegal for the school to notify the parents ..yes .you read right . Will you be affected by this? ...will the society be affected by this? And we wonder why there are sooo many young open lesbians and homosexuals proudly walking the streets. Maybe if you have a face to face with a transgender you will see what the fuss is about. I have ... often...and still can't get used to it. Several times...trying to deliver to a man ..be like "Are you George?" .... and he responds ...." no ... he's my husband." Everytime... the response is rejected by my brain... it has to run around my head a few times before being processed. It's at a point where you can't address a man as Sir or Mister because you don't know his gender at that moment. What if I'm travelling through your city and as a fellow Nairalander I ask that you host my wife and I for a night while we're in transit ... you agree ...and I show up with a 300 pound burly bearded guy as my wife...my wife because he identifies as a woman ... and there is rumbling in the other room over night ... do you think it will affect you??

Even your example of California is comedic......We have 50 states in the USA and I've lived in 16 of them, WHAT STOPS YOU FROM MOVING YOUR FAMILY TO A STATE WITH LAWS THAT FITS YOUR VIEWPOINT?

Your depiction of the restroom is also inaccurate, most people change inside the stalls with the door locked, most people are not changing in the open space inside the restroom. The stalls inside places like the airport are also equipped with privacy screens so your point seems farfetched!

I find it funny that you grew up in a nation where kids play outside in their underwears and nobody bats an eye but na the imaginary offense of a transgender be the problem? COME ON MAN, DON'T BE RIDICULOUS!

The point remains these are human being and if the law allows them to exist with the same rights as you.......WTF you gon do? You can either choose to hate or you can accept the new reality and guide you and your family to recognize these things and avoid them whenever possible......Avoidance is not the same thing as hate, afterall as humans we already segregate ourselves based on social and economic status, lifestyle choices is just another on the list!

On the freedom and legality to choose gender ,..the point is not about whether I hate it or love it ... it is about it will affect society and significantly change culture like never before in hundreds of years.
About changing in the washrooms...I was specifically referring to young girls. What rights do we have that they don't have? And where do we draw the line ...or should there be a line? Some people love having sex with animals ... should a man have the right to identify as a dog and be free to have sex with dogs? Same with adult siblings wanting to marry each other... shouldn't they have the right?
I get it... some people like you just don't care ... as long as it doesn't affect you. As for me ... like you said...if it is all made legal... what can I do?...nothing. I see it as Prophecy being fulfilled and there is nothing anyone can do to stop the spread

That's a great point. But you know what the difference is? A woman who puts a wig on, a man who uses steroids, and even the horror of someone bleaching doesn't impact the rights and safety of others.
