tnerro1:What you do not understand is that we do not have to consume the oil we produce, there are some many countries that needed the oil for different purposes. We can produce and sell in foreign currency. Besides, there are so many other machines that uses fuel aside the ones for transportation. No matter how we want to shy away from the reality of electric/gas vehicles, it is here to saty, Nigeria has a nation just have to prepare herself for it by utilising the revenue from oil to diversify into more other sectors. |

Tektronics12:That's exactly what they are doing. There's a guy in Maiduguri that has solar charging stations. He also has a fleet of electric minibuses. He rents out the minibuses to drivers and they charge the buses at the solar charging stations. The buses also have solar panels on the roof for things like radio, etc. |

Very laudable initiatives ,if well pursued ,the north east will be a centre of excellence in transportation sector. Very soon other states will come to borrow the idea. It is a matter of time petrol consumption will come down drastically and the price of the commodity too will fall |
