Elfsborg of Sweden beat Roma in the Europa League today. That is the same team 18 Year old Vince Osuji was up against with Kalmar just 4 days ago in the Swedish Allsvenskan. Osuji put up a passing Masterclass against them.

Keep a keen eye on that Osuji lad. He is a huge pearl. A CB prospect with a high ceiling.
You forgot to praise Ibrahim Buhari's exploits against As Roma last night

They never learn. They allow the glitz of playing for England to trump the impact they can make by playing for us.
But the glitz of playing for England is more than worth it if we’re being honest

Do you think osimenh would have moved to galatasary if he was the top 9 of England?

Bro, the real issue is the NFF. If they made playing for SE something attractive do you think the likes of Tosin, Eze, Tomori and the rest would be not rush us?

Unpaid bonuses, substandard accommodation, godfatherism, bribery, etc.

We mismanage our talent, do them bad and then expect them to be patriotic. No naaa, you have to give people a reason to be proud. We cannot keep living in the 90s. It’s even more painful because someone like Eze trained with the SE some years ago (along with Aina).

When we do the needful as an FA, these players go dey rush us. Create the right environment and the players will come.
Absolutely

saw the Buhari guy against Alkmaar and he was solid to be honest. I love his physique and mobility on and off the ball. Also he is a good passer and well composed on the ball

This is the kinda young players that needs to be blooded in not seeing the faces of Awaziem,Omeruo and others

AE knows about him, he will get a NT call up soon.

Expect to see 1-3 new faces in the squad, most especially in the striking department.

playing in uel/uecl will give him the needed exposure and recognition. It’s better to invest in younger players like him for longetivity sake than chasing after the likes of Uduokhai,Tosin etc that are heading to 30

Just telling my colleague in the office that I don't blame England oo for wanting to have a taste of these players but as a player you have to analyze the history of England in such matters as well as the potential effect of choosing either England or Nigeria based on your level of skill and the needs of both teams

In a certain sense Nigeria is a more successful footballing nation than England. We have 3 continental titles. I don't think they have any. Their last major tournament achievement was in 1966.

See Ademola is in pole position to become Apoty just less than 5 years of switching.

My point is: use your head, player, use your head.
Your entire write up is based on perception.

One of the biggest problems facing recruitment of Nigerian origin players in England and Europe in general.

Is simply integrity and a refusal to create relationships that are long standing and mutually beneficial. Very poor direct personal communication and engagement.

We primarily recruit in the media.

I was talking to some Polish FA guys actually they talked to me because they wanted to engage with 14 year old player for a top premiership club.

It finally ended with them flying him and his parents to Warsaw no expense spared hotels, etc.

Another consideration if you are playing for England as a youth player I'm talking even U14/15 level is marketing and endorsements. You could get a contract at that young age worth £50k a year. Playing for Nigeria will not get you much.

The other issue is our penchant for dark 🌑 practices essentially corruption nobody is going to sign up with your preferred agent in the NFF and it share money with you or give you appreciation money 💰.

Tosin is a top player in the Premier League just 27 and none of our current CB come close to him by a mile. We had Awaziem in the SE for years and you know he is poor quality.

With regards to age you and l know 99.9% of players ages in Nigeria cannot be corroborated you are simply what you say you are .

If Tosin was in Nigeria he could pass for 21.

I get your point but thing is, when england comes calling it is very difficult to reject,
cuz they've been in the English set-up from childhood or at least from their formative years (footballing wise), and Thus dreaming of one day playing for that national team,
It's easier for us to say "choose Nigeria"
because we're not in their shoes...
Let's imagine we send a team of U17 to play in Nigeria and they do well and they are offered UK🇬🇧 citizenship with their parents to change allegiance to the UK 🇬🇧

How many do you think will say NO ❓

And say , " I LOVE ❤️ my country Nigeria I promise to be faithful and loyal, So help me 🙏🏿 God". Therefore my answer is NO

Can you wonder why so many Moroccan origin players who born and brought up in Europe 🌍 opt for Morocco 🇲🇦.

What are they doing we are not.

There are a lot of Nigerian origin players who would opt for Nigeria over England but why not 🚫

Look at how we do things and find your answer.

Osimhen’s injury record is what I believe truly put many big clubs off him. Spending €100M for a striker that gets injured regularly is not a good investment.

Part of being elite, world class is being ready for selection. That’s why you have to give CR7 his props. His longevity is top notch.

It reminds me of the sports adage.

“The best ability, is availability” and being very honest, Osimhen’s availability is spotty.

This is just the truth.
Calm down comrade..

if going by this speculation of 6weeks, its means he’s out of the afcon qualifiers campaign…
6weeks maybe till around mid-November when we will be playing our last matches against Rwa and Ben.
anyways he should just play safe and be fit for March WCQ
we wish him soeedy recovery

What do you think could be the problem? If you say egunje, then you are just so empty.

The truth is that we aren't attractive. There is nothing about us that is enticing, there is nothing about us to be proud of. We have a battered image, all thanks to the government and the educated fools amongst us.

Another Naija CB, Ibrahim Buhari starred for Elfsborg vs Roma in a huge 1-0 win. Lad was very decent.

Played 90mins+
17 accurate passes (85% passing accuracy)
4/5 accurate long balls
6 clearances
3 headed clearances
6 recoveries
2 interceptions
1 block
100% tackles won
1 ground duel won
1 aerial duel won
I obviously didn't.

Mk dem face front abeg 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Tosin who isn’t even been considered by England at the ripe of 27 but still forming hard to get

Uduokhai won’t serve long term purpose and may turn out to be like Torunarigha and Akpoguma 🤦‍♀️

Lol.... Anyway, I understand your frustrations. You have good premises to be fed up. One would truly think a lad at 27 and yet to be considered by England should have "sense" by now especially seeing what happened to Agbonlahor, Ameobi, and recently what's happening to Tammy, Tomori and Eze.

It is well.

Samu Omorodion called up to Spain U21s. Not his first U21 Callup though but just the final step to the senior team. He is getting ever closer especially with his Club Performances.

Chalking off 25M is a lot abeg. Was expecting at worst 20M to be removed in Transfermrkt's latest update. But na their problem. It will be back up when he leaves Turkey for sure.

He is still the Number 1 Most Valuable player on the market in Turkey and this value exactly matches his new buy out clause of 75M.

Meanwhile, Raphael Onyedika's market value is on the rise. His Transfermrkt value is now 16M euros and is currently the 2nd most valuable player on the market in Belgium's Jupiler Pro

Exactly what I thought too, once he's out of Turkiye, the value will definitely increase, given his insane performances.

I've been into a few EPL clubs dressing rooms a lot of the time they are playing Afro beat.

Born in the UK makes me appreciate Nigeria more .

I know too many Nigeria origin players who would LOVE to play for Nigeria. But our NFF doesnt want boys who will not bow to their every demand including match bonuses and appreciation for picking me, fee in 💵💰
