Lemme start by saying I have not given this a lot of thought because this question only occurred to me this morning.

Now I am talking about the state of being dead not the process of getting there aka dying.

In your response start by defining good then move on to if you think death meets that definition and final the characteristics of death that you think makes your position valid.

The goal of this discussion is just air our views and have a good discussion, no pressure.

It may be that death does not exist, only transitions of life to life do.

I dont know because the life I know of this world is a sadistic and monstrous morbid construction fit for the perverse cosmic masturbation of deities. So transiting to another version eternally may only turn out to be heightened levels of cosmic perversion, sadism nd morbidity.

One theory that is important though, even if fringe is that this is a soul farm for higher beings - the higher beings being the farmers and we being the farmed. Our harvested energies may therefore be powering something we can no more comprehend than a potato can comprehend a potato farmer.

Everyday the pigs in a farm are fed by a pig farmer and they think he is caring for them. When he takes one away the pigs think it has gone to a better place, because the farmer only ever feeds and cares for them. However, he is taking it to the slaughter to consume it for his own energy, or to sell it for his own money to someone else who will consume it. Worse still, he may use its hide for candle sticks and shoes.

The world may be a pig farm and we might be the pigs and death might simply be the farmer harvesting what he has raised, to consume it. Who knows?

These are all harsh thoughts - but very realistic thoughts. The warm and friendly thought will be something else and in that regard my best thought is that the world is a school for the education of conscious beings. And if so, there are harder classes ahead, some will also repeat this class, and some will drop out entirely.

. Being conscious does not mean you will know who you were or where you lived but it will mean you will be fighting the same battle. Then immature spirits alternate between genders making it more difficult for them to know who they were. There is really no advantage in knowing who you were. It is however someone in your family tree
