Lessons From Pst. Adeboye's Apology On Tithe Teaching And My Recent Dream About Him

The recent apology tendered by RCCG G.O., Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has further confirmed several things we've been stressing from the onset in this respect.

1. Even the true men of God, prophets, apostles, weren't inerrant: Only Jesus the perfect Master is, hence why we should ensure that every teaching that emanates from any other, regardless who the person is, aligns with the teachings of Jesus which is 100% perfect, otherwise we will find ourselves embracing a lie, false or erroneous teaching that emanated from men as the Word of God. We must realize that they're also humans hence can make errors no matter how annointed they are. That's why Jesus commanded His disciples to teach all men His Words, to help guide and protect us against erroneous teachings that could emanate from such ones. Matthew 28:19-20. 2. The So-called Prosperity Gospel Is A False Gospel That Chokes The Word Of God: Such erroneous teachings on tithing is a function of the false gospel of prosperity which is driven by the cares of this world, pleasures of this life, deceitfulness of riches, that Jesus said choke the Word of God sown into a man's heart and renders it unfruitful. Matthew 13:22. That's why we see several preachers going to the length of threatening people with poverty, hell fire, death, just because of tithes, and preaching all manner of heresies, such as, "the gospel of Christ is not meant for the rich", "Job's riches weren't secured because he didn't tithe" among others, thereby choking the Word of God and making it to be of non effect in people's lives.

That said, it's human to err but requires a lot of humility to admit and apologize for such errors especially when one was in a highly reputable position and has many looking up to him as their leader, hence my respect goes to preachers like Benny Hinn, Creflo Dollar, and now Enoch Adeboye, for later admitting their erroneous teachings in that respect despite having preached it and misled many for so many years and even several decades. It's better late than never. Hopefully others erring prosperity preachers would follow suit.

I can't really say if there's any connection with this recent development but a few weeks back i had a strange dream about Pst. Adeboye.

In the dream, i was in his car seated on the passenger side of the front seat with him sat on the driver's seat.

On his left hand was a piece of paper where he said he listed the things he wanted God to do for him before he became the G.O. of RCCG. They were 4 in number and I think he advised me to do the same.

However while he was driving, we had an accident but it was not too serious, so we were able to continue with the car.

But as we continued we had another accident, this time it was really serious and he even got injured as a result.

The car was badly damaged so we couldn't continue with it, but had to take my car which was parked closeby to continue with the journey.

I wanted to drive this time though but he insisted on continuing with the driving, so i hadn't much choice but to sit on the passenger's front seat once again while we continued the journey.

But we had accident for the third time, however this was the first time with my car. It seemed really serious and wasn't clear what happened to him, but that was the last time he was in the picture of the dream.

I can remember continuing from there though in the dream but it seemed i was alone from that point on.

The dream had an endtime setting.

Chaos everywhere and having to evade several obstacles.

Not sure what the dream exactly means though.

Perhaps Pst. Adeboye's time is winding up so probably needs to put his house/church in order.

My dream hardly comes through anyways so perhaps nothing much to worry about.

I'm really saddened with most pastors. Tithes should not be a priority, when you get, you give, if you don't have, continue praising God.

When the time comes the church need fund for a project, there's surly a thousand way God will provide.

True. RCCG has too many workers and foreign missionaries that it needs so much money.
What you are saying is not practical. Do you see Catholic, Anglican,, Baptist etc complain about this? They don't have problems with tithing. They have developed their systems over two millennial or so. Can you imagine Catholic with about 1.5 billion devotees? Please Sir, the church needs money.
