I truly don't understand humans.

Currently, we have critical issues that threatens our very existence and here we are consumed with a topic that clearly answers itself.

Dont judge anyone....quote author=Corrections post=132219658]Christians around the world often claim that Judging people is a sin because Jesus had told us not to do so. These Christians back their claims reciting Matthew 7:1-6

Matthew 7:1-6

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

The truth is that Jesus didn’t say that we shouldn’t judge. He only thought us the consequences of not doing it the right way. Remember that Jesus is not against justice and fairness.

Luke 11:42

Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.

Someone has got to be judged for justice to be effected. Imagine the chaos that will be in a society where people do as they like (robberies , killings and rapes) without a justice system in place.

Now, what Jesus is saying is that anyone who judges should do so based on the “truth”. This means do not say anything that is not correct or true about anyone. Jesus is against the sin of lying, anytime anyone judges someone based on evidences that are not correct is “lying “. That is why judges of this world have to be extremely careful, they must ensure that they establish the truth before pronouncing judgement on people.Hear what Jesus said below:

John 7:24 ESV
Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.

Now with this understanding let us further dig into what Jesus was trying to communicate to us in Matt 7 :1-6.

“Do not judge (it is better to remain neutral in matters you have not established the truth), or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others (if founded that your judgment was far from the truth, that will only make you a liar and a sinner) you will be judged, and with the measure you use (since you have become a liar judging people based on what is not true) it will be measured to
you (the punishment for liars will be given to
you too).

“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? (Your sense of judgment is wrong by denying yourself of the truth, you believe that your brother has the biggest problem while you have little or no problem).

Therefore, we can conclude based on the scriptures here that if you must judge, it has to be done truthfully and not that you “should not” judge.

What Jesus meant was do not write off anyone as being irredeemable from sin. The idea is do not write anyone off and condemn in the sense of concluding that the person is past saving and is a certain candidate of hell fire. It doesn't mean you shouldn't tell people the truth about their sinful life

Human can't judge right because we cant see the true picture of thingto judge on. If God can be so compassionate not judge us everytime we wrong Him,how dare we judge.
Settling conflicts is different from jugdement. We can settle conflict as human being.

During the time of Jesus on earth, they had scribes. I am sure that if he wanted anything down, he would have written it. I am very suspicious of a third party telling stories especially considering that the purported authors lived the same time as Jesus. It doesn't help that different kings and religious leaders threw away the parts of the Bible they didn't like. So much for the word of God.

No, i don't believe in any God, or god, look, when you talk about God or god, we are talking about believes, If one believes that a tree, piece of wood, Cat, a Goat or even a table in their house is God to them then that's what they "believe" if one puts their faiths on a tree, they d believe the tree would do for them anything they ask.

That is how i see God, or god or Ogun, grin grin

Now, let's put Ogun to the test, i want Ogun or God to find me where i am and give me $1000 cash which ever god or God that finds me first with the cash i will believe, I dare these Gods to knock at my door with the $1000.. then i will believe. grin

From the way some people see God, Ogun or gods, they believe nothing is impossible for God, gods or Ogun to do, so i am waiting for them with the cash. grin it is simple, i don't understand why God, Ogun or god should be complicated and very hard to understand.

Why? undecided

Perfectly put.

The word is "condemned" not judge this probably may have been lost during translation.
You should correct others sinful ways in truth but you can not even if its in truth condemned the other.

It is with this understanding that we can see why despite Jesus advice to us not to call someone a “fool “ but still used the same word on someone.

Matt 5:22 kj
But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment; and whosoever shall say to his brother, ‘Raca,’ shall be in danger of the council; but whosoever shall say, ‘Thou fool,’ shall be in danger of hell fire.

To be in “danger of Hell” is like being in danger of being brought to heavens court of judgement, and after investigations, if found guilty you will be punished. Now, Jesus speaking based on heaven’s standard of truth, called someone “fool”.

Matthew 23:17

17 You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred?
Are u comparing ur self with Jesus who is also God?

Jesus/God judged people so u think u also can go around judging people?

The bible says before u judge people make sure u have judged urself and have been found perfect.

Let's not overcomplicate this scriptures. We are not supposed to judge anybody or else we shall be judged.

Pele o, you should have said that Christian lawyers, judges and justices should resign because according to you, are not like Jesus/God that should judge. Some Christians won't cease to amaze you.

So you are saying you know more than Jesus that says we can judge ABI? Here is Jesus talking, here what he he says...

Dont judged by appearance is talking about discernment and knowing who is who and not judging people of their sins or mistakes.

u have no right or power to judge anybody for their sins. u can only correct and advise.

as for lawyers and judge they are empowered by the state to judge crimes against the state only. Also different states can have different laws.

stay blessed.

I already explained na. Judgement is like a verdict passed and most times it's usually public and it tarnishes one's reputation and prestige.

But TRUTH is mostly like an advise with d possibilty of change. And mostly not done publicly.

For example, how will u feel if u made a mistake for d first time and I concluded dat u r worthless publicly and have no chance of redemption.

But u will be happy if I tell u d TRUTH abt ur errors in private and u may likely change..

In d context of d bible, to me Sha, it's my own opinion and understanding oo. JUDGEMENT is for God, cos after u av been judged, it's either hell or heaven. There is no more chance for redemption and this we humans can't make such judgement on behalf of God.

Buth TRUTH is like a second chance, i.e there is still hope and u can still be redeemed..

Hope I tried??
