Stop blaming a mall for your error. It says best before. That it isnt good enough for you one weeek to their own best before date is not their fault. It wont kill anyone the way it is.

Did you not see expiring date before you buy it. When you know that you will store it for more than one week, you will leave it and buy somewhere else if they have the one that has long expiring date.

They have done you good by stating the expiration date. If you buy from normal small shops, you will not even see expiring date to guide your decision.

You claim to know so much by bringing this here online, you can read but you cannot decide so well on whether to buy it or not. You are crying wolves after you had already bought what is clearly written it will expire soon.

Just fry them, not all but few at a time. Fry with chicken seasoning, curry, fresh pepper and onions.
Eat it with yam, potato, bread or white rice. As long as it isn't smelling or spoilt, it's no problem.

As long as the expiry date has not yet reached , the eggs are still good

Store them in the fridge and use them as you would do normally

It's not expired, so your post is really misleading.

Secondly, you have the responsibility of checking the expiration date of a product before buying it. In this case, you can't blame Spar.

Even here in UK, you will see milk and eggs whose sell by date is next tomorrow, still in the big name stores. Just that they will do 30% off. By evening it will be 50% off. By a day to go they will pack them to community centers to dash to the poor. Nobody throws stuff away even here where they are cheap as chips. E come be for naija where a crate is over 6k... are the shops making 6k on the whole batch they sold that day? As for the eggs, salt them up to near death to mask the not so great taste and fry in used oil that has traces of previous foods fried in it👌🏿.

When it comes to buying eggs, it is best to buy from retailers (market women).
Asides the fact that they often carry/sell fresh eggs, you get to shake the eggs before buying.
Once they feel loose (like they're moving) on the inside, they're old (possibly rotten) eggs. Don't buy.
Fresh eggs don't move when shaken.

Anyways I have a specific egg brand that I buy from a reputable hypermarket. Don't know about you, but mistakenly consuming spoilt egg has egg me trauma so much that I literally vomit upon perceiving the smell. I'd say it again, I will return and change the brand or ask for a refund if it were me.

That egg has probably been exposed to high moisture content or water spillage, such eggs won't last again.
In this days of rains everywhere, dem fit don load or off load while it's raining, and water has entered the crate
