A Nigerian man lost his mother’s ₦500k in an online gambling game, so he posted a video of himself sobbing and begging for assistance on social media.

The man is shown in the video, which was uploaded to the social networking site X (previously Twitter), pleading for help and admitting that he had gambled with his mother’s money. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

In one of the videos, he tearfully says, “Everyone help me, I’m going to die. Please help me. I lost ₦500k to virtual betting. This is my mother’s money, not mine. Please, I’m going to die.”

He also shared a second video displaying the receipt of the ₦500,000 withdrawal from the account, with the funds being taken by the gaming company.

The emotional video quickly gained attention, with concerned individuals flooding the comments section to offer their thoughts and reactions.
