From what I read, an efficient mass public transport system is an anathema in North America due to the size, automobile industrial lobbyers and years of segregation. So I understand how you felt.

We’re not quarreling bro. Yes, the world has never been a safe place. In as much as we have bad people, there are good people as well. People you know can as well hurt you or betray you. Approach world with open mind, nobody is an island. It’s totally fine if you don’t want to help, but don’t base that on being a stranger or something. I think most people immigrating to Canada are still stuck in the idea of Canada twenty years ago. The country has transformed to worse. Lots of homeless people are becoming a usual thing to see.

In places like Finland for example, homelessness is unheard of. You cant find a single homeless person. Either illegal, legal, citizens or not. The system cares to prevent one from being too poor and cant afford house.

Its also so forking lonely. With such a vast area, visiting friends or even doing groceries is a core. From someone coming from Nigeria, Canada can be an upgrade, for if one is migrating from places like Europe, then its like moving to Gambia.
