CanadaOrBust:God of Israel isn't different from the one God over all. The nature of God is not solely defined by man but rather understood through both divine revelation and human interpretation. Humans can define aspects of God’s nature based on revelation and theological reflection but such definitions will always be limited and approximate rather than exhaustive or definitive. Your scripture states: Psalm 145:3: Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. Job 26:14: what we perceive of God is merely a whisper compared to the thunder of His power. Isaiah 55:8-9: God’s thoughts and ways are higher than ours. God has done his part and is doing more by allowing the fulfillment of the free will given to man. |

honesttalk21:God of OT (meaning Almighty God as described in OT) has certain attributes. Doing nothing for 2000 years while another is being worshipped as Him or part of Him is NOT one of those attributes. Unless u don't believe in OT |

CanadaOrBust:I updated my answer. Does the 2000 years include the time of Prophet Muhammad pbuh? honesttalk21:You still don't understand the above? |

honesttalk21:Put it this way, When Christ died he had no followers, even his closest friends denied him. Compare to few decades later, despite Roman persecutions. ONLY God can do that. If Christ were NOT part of God, Christianity would be the height of blasphemy and God of OT would never have allowed it, talkless of helping it grow exponentially. God doesn't fail. If God sent Muhammad or anyone to wipe out Christianity, it would no longer exists[/quote] You still don't understand the above?Chist in entirety was crucified |

CanadaOrBust:The ALmighty God of OT does not not know Jesus! He was one not three! That's why Adam, Noah, Moses, Abraham and Jacob related with only one God not three Gods with a human part in the future! When Christ died he had no followers, even his closest friends denied him. Compare today, despite Roman persecutions. ONLY God can do that.So only God can die like Jesus? ![]() The Bible has contradictions. Once again, Chris was never created. He's always been part of GodI agree the Bible has contradictions! Where did God say He has parts? Who is the person on the throne in the Bible? And who is sitting on the right hand? Once again, the Bible is God's inspired word but written by humans and therefore has contradictions. It helps in Christianity but Christianity is NOT about the Bible.Christianity is not about the Bible but it sold 5 Billion copies despite the many different versions! It is available in almost all regular hotels you can find! As to the question, I didn't understand what you were asking. Christ said this, NOT Paul:Which door? When did he knocked? And Was he not sent to the lost sheep of Israel? I am not from Israel and not even from his time! Say this prayer below.Where did Jesus ever teach anyone that prayer while alive? You can run away! |

AntiChristian:You still haven't told us why God would resurrect a finished blasphemous religion and make it grow exponentially to the powerhouse we have today. Below, some places predicting Jesus comming

CanadaOrBust:Do you forget that the Israelites were 400 years in slavery with the Egyptians? Did they not pray for salvation in this time? God answered and fulfilled this prayer at his own time. You also forget Psalm 103:8: The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love? Was Prophet Muhammad pbuh sent to wipe out Christianity? Remember this name was neither given by God or Jesus. Muhammad pbuh was a medium true which God communicated the wrong in worshipping another along side him. If we calculate this will be about 300 years after the Nicene congress. CanadaOrBust:Which Christ please? Remember there were 2 persons baring the name of Jesus and Pilate had one freed. Jesus Barabas. Does this name not mean Jesus the son of the father? |
| Re: The 2 Most Confusing Verses In The Bible And Quran by CanadaOrBust: 6:30pm On Oct 10, 2024 |
honesttalk21:Were Israelites worshipping another person along with God (extreme blasphemy!) in those 400 years? And were they always slaves those 400 years. And mention where God was "slow to anger" for even 100 years when they started worshipping other gods. Many, many people bore the name Yeshua (Christ's real name). I don't know what you're driving at |

CanadaOrBust:The period of 400 years is to show that God decides on his own when he does things. Also the Israelites were exposed to Egyptian religious practices and polytheism during this period so the extent to which they adhered strictly to their monotheistic beliefs versus adopting elements of Egyptian religion is a matter of scholarly debate. Remember their call for the moulding of a gold calf during the exodus journey. Many people bore the name and one that was freed was at trial with him? Is this not worth studying? |

CanadaOrBust:Do you ever seek knowledge or understanding of faith from sources outside of what is written in the Bible or taught by the Church? |
| Re: The 2 Most Confusing Verses In The Bible And Quran by CanadaOrBust: 7:29pm On Oct 10, 2024 |
honesttalk21:So when they molded a golden calf or any other time the strayed to other gods, how long was God "slow to anger"?? What does it matter that his name was also Yeshua, we know him as Barabas. See below

Petalss:I don't seek, I know. And my knowing is not dependent on Bible or church, it is based on direct personal experiences and encounters with the divine |

CanadaOrBust:That sounds good, but how can someone like me, who has never directly experienced the divine (I assume you’re referring to the Holy Spirit), trust your conclusions? As you mentioned earlier, the Bible contains contradictions and may have been corrupted. Are we expected to believe your interpretation of matters of faith solely because you claim to have had personal encounters with the divine? |

CanadaOrBust:In this case God wasn't slow but the question is was their release from slavery due to their engaging in worshipping other God's? The reason why the worship of Baal and Asherah was a perennial problem for Israel is what we could call international peer pressure. Israel wanted to be like the other nations (see 1 Samuel 8:5, 20). The other nations worshiped Baal and Asherah, and so many Israelites felt a pull to do the same. Are you certain this wasn't passed into Christianity?

CanadaOrBust: Petalss: honesttalk21:To close out the discussion, all this is ACADEMIC. The truth is that right now as we speak people are using the name of Lord Jesus to face demons and have them flee, and to cast and bind them. That's one name they're always afraid of. I've had personal experiences myself. All I had to do was say "In the name of the Lord Jesus...". So while we're here having academic arguments people are experiencing real power of Christ in the spiritual realm. Finally, bear this in mind : God would not have revived a virtually finished religion (because ONLY He could have revived it), and have it grow exponentially like wild fire, if it were blasphemous to Him! Nice chatting with'all |

CanadaOrBust:Do remember Matthew 24:24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. And Matthew 7 21 Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven,d but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day,Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles? 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers! |

honesttalk21:But all these were said FOR Christ. Many, many false prophets and messiahs have since arisen, but as Christ said, they never stand the test of time |

CanadaOrBust:I sincerely hope that the power of God's name can instill a sense of awe and effectively drive away evil spirits. I desire to use the name of the Father for casting out and binding these forces, rather than invoking the name of the Son or the Holy Spirit. Do have a wonderful day. |

CanadaOrBust:Simply pointing out that false priests and prophets can claim to do wonders in the name of Christ who is empowered by the father (God). In any case it's been quite and engagement and thank you too. |
