It is intentional, the goal is to destroy as much and instill as much fear as they can so they can claim more land and control the area.
And they have a window to do it now when they feel Biden can't say much because of the election.
I called this action in Lebanon months ago. It's no suprise it's happening less than 30 days before the election.
The goal is to drag the US into a war with Iran, something Netanyahu has been calling for since Iraq (he was part of the reason we fought that war).
You don't have to believe me, there has been some good reporting as to what US diplomats say privately. Even Biden believes Israel is doing this to help Trump win. There has been a lot of private concern and fear in Biden's administration about what is going on.
Look at what Macron did this week, saying countries should stop giving Israel weapons. Imagine an ally saying that.
