Thank you oooo. AE did all he needed to do. We no go dey smash every team 4-0.

We dominated the game from start to finish.
He's doing well and he is gaining more knowledge about the players and the team in general which I feel is very important. 3 matches, 2 wins, one draw. No goals conceded.

At 27, Iwobi already has 81 caps for Nigeria. From the look of things, he can still give us another 6 solid years.
I hope it is as you posit but then a better midfield option may pop and Iwobi might find himself hugging the bench more like Iheanacho is doing now

Bruno made 3 accurate crosses out of 10 crosses. That's 30% crossing accuracy. If it were Zaidu, I know what you all will say.
You can praise Bruno without badmouthing Zaidu who was a pillar in that Afcon campaign on the left flank especially from a defensive standpoint.
Defensively Zaidu was solid during the AFCON. Only flaw were his crosses. They were wack

92% of our players would miss that goal Fisayo Dele-bashiru scored. If that ball had met another player,we would probably have seen the ball ballooned high above the stadium.
Iwobi used to score like that. I remember his goal against Zambia in Uyo

bros i can mention loads of game so many tacticians has handled in which their opponents played like Libya and with all his tactical acumen he still ended up winning 1-0 in dying minutes
the game we witnessed today would also be the same result any world class tactician will face if handling super eagles….oga all the libyan players literally camped in their half till that goal brought them out…even with their 10man mass immobile defense, we still split opened their defense and lost so many chances
1. chukwueze facing the keeper but fluffing his chance
2. Lookman disallowd goal and so many other darting runs into their box-18.
You cant win all matches with 4-0 scoreline, most especially against a team that remained immobile at the defense….Benin tried to come out at us in the previous game and collected 3-0.
games like this you should be giving kudos to the coach for finding a way to unlock their defense and finding back of the net
we have seen world class teams dominate from beginning to the end but end up drawing or winning with a slim marging
In 2014 world cup between Argentina and Iran…the Iranians literally locked up everywhere and built a castle at their defense, but it took the world class tweaking of their tactical and brilliance of Leo Messi to score a dye min 1-0 win.
THE SUPER EAGLES DID NOT STRUGGLE WITHOUT OSIMHEN, even lookman at some large portion was lost in the game…if osimhen were to be in this game, highest he will bring his ginger and fearful presence, but oga, na 1-0 we go still win if we will win…we did not struggle we dominated from start to finish
Thank you

Eguavoen should find a way of scoring goals and winning matches without Osimhen because crossing aimlessly won't cut, the Libyans were comfortable with us going to the wings and crossing because most times they are overhit and the few ones that land in the 6 yard box Boniface was not much of an aerial threat to trouble the Libyans

At Tripoli we will encounter the same situation that's when we'll know if Eguavoen is tactical enough to tweak his system and get the best out of Boniface
These games are tight with short space of time for the players to absorb the tactical direction of the coach. Yes they are professionals but also remember that they are coming from different clubs where they play under different coaches with different philosophies.

Na shiny toy syndrome dey make people mention Maduka's name with Nigeria's goalkeeping situation because we have witnessed him and what he can do and God forbid we go back to that
You are really lacking understanding or just plain downright prejudiced.

When VO had his first games in the SE when he was at Wolfsburg in 2017 he was completely out of his depth and shambolic.

However, he has improved tremendously and the improvement emanated from his club and league. Did we say he was woeful the first time and should therefore NEVER play again for the SE.

Football ⚽ is a game of ups and downs mostly, Maduka has improved that's why top clubs are queuing up to sign him.

There are few exceptions but if you are a MOUSE 🐭 in your club and league you will not all of a sudden become a LION 🦁 in the SE.

Okoye should be given games and then up to date comparison can be made.

No he was not, he is tactically inept and naive very limited technical ability and a liability under pressure. His end product simply non existent.

He can run all day but without direction and defends robustly but that's it.

We scoring in the close of 80 mins by sub player doesn't obliterate the fact that the super eagles need a sound tactician

Look through the team whenever oshimen is not playing the super eagles struggles

Imagine a match with no oshimen and lookman the team will struggle more

We are looking at the need for AE to change tactics instead of bringing in crosses into the opponent 18 yard box in situations where they parked the Box why not encourage your players to shot from outside the 18yard box.

The fact that we won this match doesn't remove the fact that the scoreline wasn't impressive and we should have done better

So those advocating for a sound foreign tactician haven't done anything wrong
So if we get the so called sound tactician, and situations like what happened in this Libya match plays out, what would you say? You will say we should get a sounder tactician and then a soundest tactician?

You cannot compare KC to Iwobi in any shape or form lwobi has been consistently outstanding at Fulham.

One the other hand 👏🏿 KC had been consistently poor and mediocre he has had one good season in his entire football league career where he scored 12 goals in 2021 apart from that he never scored more than 5 league goals in 10 seasons of professional football in the EPL and Championship let's see 🙈 what he can do in La Liga.

He has been mediocre essentially for too long .

Watch the goal Iheanacho scored for Manchester City against Southampton at 1:00 of the video. Look also at Kelechi Nwakali's goal against Atletico Madrid. We need to work on shooting from outside the 18 yard box because more teams will play with low blocks against us.

When our tactics is not breaking down the opposition, we need to switch our tactics to shoot from range, which will also make the low block of the opposition to break.
You are hyping and using history to create a false narrative. In 2018/19 KC was so good he played in 30 , league games for Leicester and scored once in 2017/18 he played 21 games and scored 3 league goals he improved in 2019/20 and scored ,5 league goals from 20 games.

And then you mentioned Nwakali goal 🥅 in a friendly this is desperation to misinform.

When's it comes to shooting at distance none of these players should be in the conversation.

Barnsley have played 10 games and the midfield maestro technician Supremo Nwakali has made the bench once. He is yet to play one game.

And you are talking about him as a benchmark for top class shooting 😲😲😲

It was clear Eguavoen did not expect a low defensive block from the Libyans.
The 4231 setup left Boniface somewhat isolated and suspended among the sea of defenders, there were no space for him to do anything.
The setup also saw our wingers playing very close to the touchline isolating Boniface, early at the first half.
Off the ball our wingers played very close to the midfield, and weren't pressing the Libyans.
The setup also saw our wingers not attempting shots at goal because they played deeper.

While it is true that Eguavoen did not expect the Libyans to go ultra defensive. What happened to tweaking your tactics to commit more forwards closer to the 18 yard box.

Eguavoen is yet to impress me with his tactics. I pray that someday he will.
How will he impress you with his tactics when from your first sentence it is obvious you misinterpreted his tactics. He played 4-3-3 not 4-2-3-1. Iwobi played his natural AM role, Onyeka was the CM and Ndidi the DM.

He will only impress you when he plays Ejuke 😏😏

Nig 1-1 SA (No osimhen) goal by Bashiru
Ben 2-1 Nig (No Osimhen) goal by Onyedika
Nig 1-1 Libya(No osimhen) goal by Bashiru
Awoniyi, Boniface and other replacing strikers are coming to sell pure water on the pitch😀😂
So when VO played all the games in the LAST AFCON and scored one goal 🥅 it was his ghost playing not VO himself

For me, what strengthens the argument for local coaches is that the foreign coaches we had were no better. Rohr and Peseiro both struggled against low profile African teams. In fact, they lost some games against these teams. A local coach can at best only be marginally off the performances of Rohr or Peseiro.

sir i can tell you that this two videos had their opponents playing an open game…was Athletico madrid defending like libya…no b when you see space you go play shot….if we keep playing aimless shot from far we may be frustrated…that kinda defense set up yesterday will leave opponents with space for shot…you are one of the advocators of tikitaka football…Just calm down and go watch teams that played like Libya yesterday and watch how their dominating opponents thrived…teams like barca will tap you tire and run you down the both flanks till you open up a space for goal

I didn't call for Kelechi Nwakali but pointing out the shooting technique. It is strictly a call on how to beat a low block.

And I have said before, a coach keeping a player on the bench does not mean the player is not good. There are other factors.
