I hope Ejuke was watching Simon keenly yesterday Simon delivered a classic on wing play and that was amazing education for Ejuke, if he cared to pay attention I hope Ejuke gets a few minutes on Tuesday, let's see if he's learned anything |

Omo, I woke up and still angry and mad at the Libyans. God, I'm so happy we won. If not. And I've successfully added Libya to my black book, just under South Africa. While sitting, frustrated, in my low tactical mind, I was wondering how we would penetrate this Libyans. Not like they are particularly good, they not. But they tight as fist. Kilode. No single space. At one time I no see Lookman again. You people should leave Boniface, nothing he fit do that yesterday. Na only Osimhen, maybe Emenike fit try something for that match... Iwobi should be burying that volley. I saw the replay and wonder why he couldn't bend it well. He had few seconds to execute whatever he gotta do. We can't miss such chances at all at all. Chukwueze - ok, you can't use right, but you cut to your prefered left and still pass ball to keeper. I was really angry at him. That was the goal we needed gan gan. I can forgive Iwobi, I can't forgive that. You cut to the left, bend it to the far corner. Simple as ABC. Crosses. Our crosses were damn poor. Libyans were comfortable with us crossing it. Cuz it's all futile, weak, and non threatening. Bashiru. This guy is our lampard. He has plenty more to score for us. He first Baloon one shot go heaven. But he came through, spare our blushes and gave ve us the goal. Wahrah lawon Libya yen. We thank you... Libyans- I pray we don't meet them ever again. They should carry their guerilla tactics go front. |

komekn:atleast when he was there at the afcon, his fellow strike partner(Lookman) was doing doing the damage, it wasn’t asif one midfielder abi defender was popping out of no where to come and nick in a goal in the run of play… But the team played well without him yesterday, just that strikers replacing him are still yet to turn up |

humility33:......but will d fool federation gives us one, or don't you think we need to stick to what is available? After all d players didn't do badly if not for referee shunt officiating Nigeria would have recorded at least 2goals minus d clear penalty denied the SE. |

At some point in the match yesterday, if felt like we were watching Man City.. Wave after wave after wave of attacks.. I love the spirit and attitude AE has inspired in the team They just kept going They kept believing And it popped!! Big confidence boost! Looks we're going on a 15-20 game unbeaten run Because I don't see this team losing anytime soon |

We usually dog on left footed players like Chukwueze for not using their right but this usually comes from a place of bias lol because how many right footed can comfortably shoot with thier left |

lexyman:We are a sentimental people jare I was one of the people here defending nwabali in that Rwanda game but for his antics Rwanda would have ran away with a slim win as they were getting more confident towards the end. Something we see all over Europe but we condemn it when it’s us, smh |

Haha, thinking about it now, I can only laugh. I noticed the Libyan keeper started wasting time as early as the 30th minute. In my mind, I was like, na wa oo, ball never even start. Later on, I saw it was a coordinated tactics, more like, let's just get through this first half unscathed.. OK. Something funny happend in the 2nd half. When the Libyan goalkeeper "died" for about 8 minutes or so. A man who sat in front of me was complaining, they should change their keeper na, surely this guy can't continue, etc. The man shouted when game restarted and same keeper continued. Na now him understand the tactics... The best part of the game was actually the end part. I could see a smile on the referree face when he blew final whistle at 3 min 54 sec of the 4 minutes Xtra time... I could imagine their conversation.. Libya player 1 - - haa ref, fear Allah. What kind of officiating is this.. (Gesturing with four fingers) only 4 minutes. Kai this is ojoro Libya player 2 - - haa ref, despite all the time we wasted. Our keeper almost died and we had to resuscitate him, yet you gave 4 minutes added time. You definitely collect money. Ref - - ori baba yin ti yii. Eyin wahrah gbogbo... |

I dislike it when we play without names on our shirts, but that said, this jersey is beautiful.

Salah is predominately left footed like Chuks, but he scores a lot with his right foot.. like this beauty he scored against Salzburg in the uCL a few years ago https://www.facebook.com/LiverpoolFC/videos/salahs-incredible-strike-against-salzburg/2866272447031440/ |

minfelix:Were the shots over the wall? If they were, it is the way to go than running into brick wall. It is about having a better chance to win the game. Yesterday we didn't try an alternative to win. |

minfelix:It is about beating the wall. And that is actually my point. Space. In a low block, you have no space in the block but a lot of space outside the box. So shooting from range, especially using players that can hit long curling shots are your best bet. I am a Manchester City fan and I am used to watching teams play with low blocks week in week out. I would tell Pep Guardiola the same thing. Play an offensive formation that keeps the block deep and cut the ball out to shooters like Se Bruyne, Foden, Grealish, Gvardiol and Kovacic. |

minfelix:I wonder where you drew the idea of aimless. Aim is actually key. Watch Lamine Yamal's goal against France in the video below. That is the solution for dealing with low blocks. When a team plays this way, it forces the wall to break and come out to stop the shots. Thus, creating room for the forwards to exploit. Tiki taka play is very much key in this. Using the widths to drive the low block deeper, and spreading the wall. Switching play and dropping the ball to the free 8 zone for curling shots. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9I2QLTXrk8U |
