A friend of mine here who is from another country often say this in her words " you Nigerians take shit from your government and still expect them to stop shitting , you guys are weird "..in the normal English language what she is saying is that most Nigerians take nonsense from their government and still expect the nonsense to stop , that Nigerians are weird ...

We see something wrong , and we still try to defend it , and at the same time later say we want the wrong things to become right..is that not hypocrisy ??

We have enough of this irritating bullshit to contend with in the politics section. For the sake of decency and focus, let's stick to the main issue - when and how the bull will run as fast as its legs can carry.

Which kind wahala be this? This place is supposed to be immune to the aggravating and depressing state of affairs in this shithole country. We can vent about that rubbish in the politics section.
You should be decent enough to not call the country you or your families are in a shithole. Stop it, it doesn’t speak well of you too as a human of Nigeria, stop it.

Honestly I am tired of seeing politics discussion on this crypto thread but at the same time I had another thought , shebi na person wey get money go buy coin and be ready for bull run ?? If the country is not good and the sufferings of Nigerians increase , it will also affect Nigerian crypto traders too and they will be so broke till the extent that they would not be able to buy a good coin and get ready for bull run , just 1000$ is now 1.6m and above , how many Nigerian crypto traders can now afford 1.6m most especially after losing so much money during the bear season?? That is why participation in airdrop increased massively. , so discussing about the way forward for this country is necessary because na person wey chop food well go get money to buy coin ..

But I still agree the discussion should be moved to politics section though I enjoyed all the conversations , it shows that this naija matter don dey concern everybody , including some rich people too , some of them are now feeling the heat

In this market don't be afraid of losing money but try to know why you lose money on a stock/crypto and don't allow your losses to be greater than your profits.
Once the fundamental is no more, please sell off and move on.
My first law of investment is 'never to reinforce fail stock because it will eat up all your profits in your portfolio'.
I hear people saying that I will average down. Averaging down when the fundamentals is no more is never a good investment decision.
The future is Bright.
can you please expatiate more on this and how to spot it..

But people like you and the others here with this sort of push and start, disgusting, hypocritical, and fake 'patriotism' disgust me beyond what can be described in words.

In summary, the useless country called Nigeria is a SHITHOLE country and ieven worse. There is no political correctness when the truth has to be said.

Whenever we talk about the situation of Nigeria, some people just bring up the word "japa" as if it is some kind of antidote to solve the problem. Yeah, we should all just run away to greenery pastures and leave our ancestral lands just because we want to live good lives.

And then you're preaching on how good it is to be in distant lands so others can join you over there. So what happens when that place is no longer conducive? What happens when the people there start turning against you after you've imported all your relatives to fight for the scarce resources? You run again to another pleasurable place and continue pursuing pleasure all your life till you die, having lived a meaningless, selfish life that inspires no one.

Sorry to say this but many of Nigerians are so devoid of purpose in life. No ideas, no passion to make change. You just want pleasure, so all you think about is how to run to the nearest paradise. Most of your ancestors were likewise dull, that's why they built their economies on slave trade. It's so shameful that it took the British to forcefully stop the slave trade that they themselves (the British) started centuries earlier. The English people had to enter the open seas to stop it and then made oil palm trade more popular instead. Your ancestors did not want to stop trading humans even when they could do other more lucrative things.

Like you said - many centuries ago, people were forcefully whisked away. Now, you willingly go there to serve as modern slaves, working 3 - 5 jobs daily just to earn money to live well. Like another person rightly said, some even go there without plans and end up stranded and suffer. For God's sake, are our brains wired to be slaves? Are we cursed not to prosper as a race or not to be able to govern ourselves? I don't get it at all.

I talk about what we can do about the deteriorating situation of things in Nigeria, you all kept mute. You heard about japa, and you trooped out, schooling people about how good life is across the seas. Do you not care about your country that's now 64 years old and does not seem to be working?

I don't care where you decide to go to work and make yourself a good life or where you are, but when we talk about the situation of YOUR COUNTRY, bring up ideas that can inspire people to take action and make change. Not just "japa." Wherever you are, be courageous enough to come back to your ancestral land to drive change.

If not you, then who are you waiting for to make Nigeria better? We should all just stop thinking about just running away like cowards.

Regardless, wherever you are, you can drive change in your country. And for you already nursing the idea, take action while you can. If we all contribute our quota, we can see considerable change soon that will make all of you want to come back. Because if e good, una go still troop in massively. Be a part of the solution. Nor dy wait for others to solve the problem make you come enjoy.

If we dy talk about country, chook mouth for the matter abeg. A revolutionary drive can start from anywhere.
The problem is most Nigerians are unpatriotic. It was through patriotism that developed nations got to where they are now. When you go to developed nations, you'll see the citizens trying as much as possible to lift their country. They can even die for their countries but you see Nigerians, the only time most speak against corruption is if it doesn't benefit them. The moment most people here start to eat from corruption, they'll keep quiet and even discourage you from fighting it. If you ask a typical Nigerian on the road whether he can sell Nigeria for a thousand dollars, they'll say yes without thinking twice. It's hard to find a patriotic Nigerian. The funniest thing that happened last year is that a lot of people came out to campaign for Obi saying people should come out to vote and all so that we can change things. The next thing before election, a lot of them japa.

How did tinubu become president ? , hey ore , you are talking to a yoruba woman right here !!! Omo yoruba ponbele ni mi...but guess what ?? Many yorubas used tribalism to vote in tinubu , I remember telling some of my family members that they should vote for a certain candidate which I did not want to mention, do you know what their response was on phone?? They said in yoruba " omo igbo bawo "..meaning igbo person in what way...meaning that why should they vote that igbo guy.. but guess what everyone is suffering the consequences, now if they go to the market to buy something. , they won't sell it to them at a cheaper price simply because they are yorubas.

There is no way you can hide it , tribalism is the major problem of this country , the religious part is still connected with tribalism in one way or the other ..

Many Nigerians first of all look at tribalism first before now bringing in religion...scale of preference!!tribalism remains number one..the major problem

I do not have problem with anyone who voted tinubu but where I have problem with most of them is that the only reason why they voted him is because he is "yoruba " nothing else..they do not care whether he will perform or not , all they care about is his Tribe.. and that is irritating..assuming you voted him because you believe he will perform well , I won't feel bad..but voting him only because he is yoruba ?? That is a very daft thing to do..

Last week I sent ordinary 900 pounds to a cousin of mine who wants to do wedding in nigeria ?? Guess what they told me , it is the 900 pounds that they used to do the whole wedding...what I consider as small money here in UK, is what they used for a wedding.that is to show you how the naira have died..

Imagine what a cleaner earns here yearly is enough to build a mansion in nigeria..just imagine
You're very correct. Tribalism has eaten deep into the country and it has pushed Nigeria to a point of no return

So how was goodluck Jonathan able to make fuel price remain below 160 and dollar remain below 300naira during his era ?? Or those same cabals were not in existence during that time ?? Or nepotism was not in existence by then ?? You people should call a spade a spade , yeah nigeria needs structure..yeah fine..but that does not change the fact that apc government failed..PDP government was never a Saint either but they were still be able give better governance than APC..and tinubu even made it worse......smh

During Jonathan era..my friend processed his UK travelling with less than 4m...now I used more than 38m to process the same travelling...and you people are talking about structure when buhari and tinubu kuku broke the table already..where structure go stand sef..

When it comes to governance , you do not mix tribalism with electing good leaders.. there are many countries in the world with various tribes in their country yet when its time to elect leaders , they keep tribalism one side and come in one voice to vote someone who they feel is competent , they won't vote you simply because you are from their tribe or not, they will vote you simply because they believe you will perform well as a leader, go and even Google the definition of nepotism and see that it still all come down to tribalism ...if I put you in a certain office because you are my brother and not because you are qualified for it , that is nepotism..so now what makes you to be my brother in most cases in nigeria context ?? You are My blood or family or same tribe etc....and if you are my family..we are still of same tribe na..you cannot remove tribalism from nepotism..the tribalism leads to the influence which brings in nepotism.
Pls don't reply those people again. They don't understand Nigeria's problem. They'll always blame politicians instead of them to start from the grassroots

YEBO bros, Yebo.

Tribalism is dismissible in the grand scheme of things. I wish those folks can see that. I didn't want to delve deeper into it because it's a waste of time and it's not a huge part of the problem. But that did not stop me from looking up a few data from the 2023 election even though I don't believe it reflects the will of the people. According to data available, Tinubu was voted by Northerners as well as those in the Niger Delta region and the South West. And even though we've not been in democracy for long, we know that in the past, other tribes have supported candidates not from their regions. Clearly, the majority of Nigerians are smarter and are above tribalism.

As you have rightly put it, the structure that has been put in place does not work anymore. But I want to add that there are few elements who have continued to service that structure to the detriment of the masses. These leaders have to go down with it.

In my opinion, a simple fix will be to cut the head of the snake and let its body rot away. The challenge is that this particular snake has many heads although they can all be targeted at the same time. Unfortunately, we don't have ambitious military officers out there anymore. They seem to have all been bought or perhaps they have become too agreeable.

Castigate me all you want but I think another civil war or military regime may not be too far off anymore, because this same corruption and misuse of office by civilians was what led to the previous one. History always repeats itself when people do not learn from it.
Tribalism is a big problem in Nigeria. Nigeria citizens always vote along ethnic lines and that's why we hardly produce good leaders. If Nigerians vote based on performance, we won't be in this mess. The leaders are up there cos of the masses and you still think the leaders are the main problems? Tinubu knows that Nigerians would always adjust even if Nigeria turns into hellfire and that's why he doesn't listen to anyone. The same people who are complaining about his policies would still vote for him again in 2027. No be juju be that?

It's not that there are no real airdrops ooo but 90 % of them are just scam projects just trying to use ignorant people to promote the scheme , so many airdrops happening on telegram will just keep wasting time of people most especially we Nigerians

Before joining any telegram airdrop , always look at the total supply for the so called coin , look at the number of participants in the airdrop before jumping into the rubbish.

Imagine a coin with a total supply of 500 billion tokens. , they already have 30 million Active participants for the airdrop and many participants are even having more than 1billion of that token farmed already showing on their dashboard , do the maths na , for example let's use only 10million participants out of the 30million participants , that is 10million multiplied by 1 billion tokens which will give you more than 900 trillion multiplied by 50 upwards.. ..and the total supply is 500billion , that means that your 1billion tokens rubbish showing on your dashboard will have to be divided by at least 50000 , giving you an allocation of maximum of 20000 of that tokens that Is even if Owner of the project decides to be extremely nice to you people and remember only less than 80% of the total supply will be allocated for airdrop... now imagine having 20,000units of a token with total supply of 500billion upwards, expect the listing price to be maximum of $0.0015 ,at least if you are not a crypto guru and you do not understand how I know that the listing price will be maximum of $0.0015 , at least as a layman you can check the listing price of dogs token and its total supply to have idea of how it works ..now calculate $0.0015 * 20000 equal to maximum of 30 usdt..best case..30 usdt is 50,000naira after several months(that is if you even have 1billion tokens showing on your dashboard , what about those with one hundred million tokens and later got allocation of 2000tokens maximum )na $3 dem go get..After months of participating.. lol.... now if you are just seeing airdrop as something that is just free money to buy food after having fun playing games , then you e know go too pain you .

But this post is for those people already daydreaming that the x-empire airdrop will make them rich , stop wasting your time on useless airdrops , not all of them are useless but majority of them are , so always look at the participants and the total supply first before engaging in something that will waste several months of your life..

Nigerian leaders make governing seem like rocket science. It's not that hard. Just don't be greedy with public funds and don't let power get into your head. Let go of it when you sense you're no longer needed.

On another note, it seems we can't even agree on what the problem is. Some say tribalism, but how do you solve that problem? That is not one that can be solved. The good news is that it matters less to the situation of the country.

If that's what you feel the problem is, look for a way to fix it for the good of everybody. It is impossible and even if you succeed, you might not see the result in your lifetime, but you can still try.

For me, we just have to instill fear in the hearts of the leaders and they will come back to their senses.

If you follow American politics, you will realize that the assassination attempts made Trump a little more compassionate. He became more humble. I stand to be corrected anyway.

Still, if I have my way, I will plot an assassination attempt on every major leader at the helm of affairs in the country. Not to kpai them, but so they will know that they're not untouchable. An oppressor will never willingly let go except they are forced.

I think I am a kind person and will not naturally nurse such thought. I want peace, to work, and enjoy my life to the fullest. But the magnitude of recklessness, wickedness, and incompetence our leaders display with our collective wealth will turn the most peaceful humans to vengeful monsters.

Everyday I turn on the news and its one bad situation or the other. Soon, we will all be dragged into politics in this country when the fire becomes unbearable. Even those sitting on the fence. Even you abroad will not have peace.

This is the last I will say about this matter.

Sorry for derailing this thread. Don't forget to bag Aidoge.
