While the emotional response in Farooq's article is understandable given the challenges faced by many in Nigeria, it's important to approach the analysis of political figures and policies with a balanced perspective. It's crucial to consider a variety of factors beyond just the increase in petrol prices when evaluating the country's economic situation. Criticizing individuals in power based on perceived cognitive shortcomings may divert attention from addressing the actual policies at hand. Additionally, making sweeping generalizations about the motives of the upper echelons of power without concrete evidence can oversimplify a complex socio-political landscape. A more nuanced examination that considers multiple perspectives and factors is necessary to fully grasp the dynamics at play in Nigeria's current economic and political environment. @myPOV |

Mrs. Remi Tinubu has consistently shown that she is a person with penchant to always make infuriating statements. I will advise her publicist and handlers to better prepare her speeches and formal conversation for her before she makes public statements. The first lady had better watch her mouth through spoken words as most of her comments are directly insensitive like her saying her husband is not the cause of Nigerians problem. PBAT is leading one of the worst Government since Nigeria recorded history. At the pace Asiwaju is running, the country will be wiped off the African Map with hunger, strife and despondency by the end of 2027. No light at the end of the tunnel, no baby steps just T- Pain. |

The question is what are Nigerians going to do about these people? Imagine people not up to 500 or 1000 holding hundreds of millions of Nigerians to ransom |

JASONjnr:Are you suggesting that we Africans are brainless robots, whose remote control is with the war creators? Who created the wars in Europe for hundreds of years, including WWII that ended less than 80 years ago, killing tens of millions? Who created the war of independence in America that lasted several years? And their civil war over slavery? How does being irresponsible, blame shifting people ever WORK hard to fix their issues ![]() |

Thankfully people are beginning to see these IMF policies for what they truly are. The average APC supporter has a phone but does no single research, just come online and give childish tribal remarks. See them online defending rubbish policies saying it’s necessary for the greater good. Show me one country that IMF policies have succeeded in turning their story around. All countries that implement it have suffered and not recovered from the damage caused. At this stage I don’t know if Tpain knows that these policies don’t work and is just deceiving his followers or he truly believes that they work and he’s being deceived. Even of he is being deceived, the fact you can put your people through such impoverishing policies as an experiment that has not been proven to work in any country says a lot about the kind of person he is. |

Kobicove:Removal of fuel subsidy is not the cause of Nigerian problem. The devaluation of Naira is the major cause. If One dollar equals to #450 things will not be that costly. Tinibu being wicked removed subsidy and devalue the currency at the same time. A liter of fuel sells $0.9 meaning if that $1is #450 fuel will be selling around #395 a liter even with the subsidy removed. Tinibu should restore our currency to its original value. |

I swear the ruling class are just sitting there wondering how much more can the masses take before they revolt and pack up this estranged contraption of a country. They already have foreign houses dual citizen ship and ready to call it quits in an instant of revolt |
