Longevity Troost To Imagine that Local coach almost bundled him off with silliest remarks/analysis of abilities, is one for big vex. Now he's the heart of this team. Respect and Regard, while doing primary duty without his long lost partner in crime, Leon Balogun of the Oyinbo Wall. And here he is, still playing so well at this level, a fans favorite. Local coaches need to upgrade their Analysis caps tbvh. Especially for FBs. I pray he wraps it up with that AFCON in the bag.

opes:And Finidi's solution was to call up carpenters like Benjamin Tianimu and Sodiq Ismail? When there were better and more capable players like Igo Ogbu, Olisa Ndah and Bruno Onyemaechi that could have been invited. Also, why the continuous invitation of an old "otu" keeper Olorunleke Ojo when there are younger and better performing goalkeepers like Amas Obasogie, Christian Nwoke and Kayode Bankole in the NPFL? Finidi apart from being tactically inept and technically deficient was shady with his player invitations. Eguavoen is a better coach than Finidi in all aspects. |

EEGA:The above was my post on 6th of October. The same thing repeated itself.Boniface had a chance in our last game to pass to a free Lookman who would have put us 1-0 up before the halftime break but he did not.He preferred to shoot. Eguavoen needs to sit Boniface down and school him on the importance of team work in football. The game is not about scoring but getting the needed 3 points. Osimhen only scored once but he got us to the AFCON finals while grabbing assists and making goal contributions such as winning penalties and forcing an owngoal. Boniface and Lookman has played in our last two games with no Chemistry between them.Pls they shouldn't start games together since don't seem to understand each other. Competition is of paramount importance for every successful manager but this two especially Boniface dey play like say the both of them use Super Eagles dey drag APOTY. We should at least be 1-0 up before you start playing your selfish game. Boniface should borrow a leaf from Osimhen who despite the criticism from fans and football lovers at home and abroad was still selfless despite scoring only once in the AFCON. I don't expect Bony to start our next game anyway. Secondly, for a team like Libya with low block or that loves parking the bus, please start all your scorers in every department of the team. Especially those who have scored or assisted of recent. Raphael Onyedika after opening the scoring against Gernot Rohr's Benin deserves to start the game along side Dele Bashiru who got us the equaliser against South Africa and the winner against Libya in our last game. If your Strikers are finding it difficult to score you must start all your scoring midfielder. Simon and Chukwueze did well in our last game.A 4-2-4 won't be bad for the next game same with a 4-3-3. Bony should be dropped.Ejuke should play a part in the away game if not start for his dribbles will help unlock the Libyan's sturborn defence. Our last game favoured the dribblers in our team and Ejuke won't be an exception. The team that finished the game should start our next game. A 4-4-1-1 formation will be nice.Raph and Iwobi as midfield pivot with Bashiru ahead of them while Lookman leads the attack flanked by Simon and Chukwueze. It could easily become a 4-2-4 with Lookman and Bashiru operating as false 9's. Start all your scorers in our next game and secure the AFCON ticket with two games left to be played. Big congrats to Coach Dan Ogunmodede(Ija ball master). He was the mind behind our tactical substitutes for the game. You can see him with his books and laptop as he prepared the trio of Raph,Bashiru and Awo to come on in our last game. This is no surprise to me because his Remo Stars team has always been known for scoring goals. Henceforth, I recommend that the assistants to any Super Eagles Coach should always be the winner of the previous season NPFL and his runner up.I thank Eguavoen for this initiative of employing the best of the previous season NPFL as his assistant. Kudos to Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu for his contribution to the team.We are yet to concede since he was appointed as assistant Coach. If you have watched his Enugu Rangers side, you will realise they really defend well(more emphasis on defensive solidity while being compact at the back). |

Hotepking:Great questions bros. For me, we should keep AE for the remaining AFCONQ, AFCON 25 and the 2026 WCQ campaign. Chopping and changing managers will not do the SE any good if we want to build stability going forward. Just look at England, for all the stick he got, Southgate is still one of the most successful England managers. The players took a liking to him and he had the backing of the English FA to build long term. Our current players seem to take a liking to AE and we already know this current squad is capable of reaching an AFCON final. We need to build on the good work done in the last campaign and push on forward. There has to be some stability to build properly. Look at Cisse at Senegal, he was backed even after the 2019 AFCON loss in the final and it paid off well for them. We can do the same with AE. AE was a bit unfortunate at the 2021 AFCON with the Iwobi red card and our GK issues. I think with the rise of Stanley, we have that solidity between the sticks to not have a repeat of 2021 AFCON. With a win on Tuesday against Libya, we have all but secured our ticket to 2025 AFCON. I still think we can qualify for the WC as our group opponents will likely take points off each other. I do think hiring a more sound assistant manager to help with the tactics would be a better approach but AE should remain. |

Mujtahida:Ademola Lookman did more offensively and defensively, and had a more spectacular display than Moses Simon. It is not difficult to understand. |
