What business does the man even do? The supermarket he was running in the UK flopped, the only other business is one super market in Abuja, there are very many ordinary folks who own supermarket, so not exactly a spectacular business model. What exactly is his business if I may ask?
Does obi occupy any federal govt position?

How is outlining Obi's stupidity the same as calling for Ibos to be killed?

So Obi can not be criticized because he is your god or what ?

Borrowing money at interest to defend the naira ?

Obi has shown with that statement that he is more interested in sustaining an unsustainable import based economy, since an artificially propped naira will benefit only importers like himself.

How sustainable is this?

How can an import based economy provide jobs and enhance local production ?

Will this not lead to more trade deficit and turn Nigeria to a dumping ground and stifle local industries? And in no due time see to dwindling of FX earnings ?

Someone rightly said here that Obi is not a businessman but a mere trader. He was right.

Another poster here once related how Shagari's govt on the urging of Alex Ekweme liberalised importation in the 80s by lifting the ban on importing certain products produced locally and how that dissatrous policy saw to many local companies struggling.

I have said it here that the SE business model of importation has done a lot of damage to our local industrial base.

This is the same Obi that has been telling us he wants to move Nigeria's economy from consumption to production but here he is now promoting more importation by defending the naira through borrowed FX?
Hello BOT,u sound like d low IQ one here.Subsequent government hav been defending d naira. While that is not a good long term approach to solving inflation n fall of naira....it help maintained cost of living. An economy like ours is unique n does not necessary abide by ur regular ecenomic laws.We are unfortunately a dollar petrol dependent economy.we export almost nothing n import almost everything.
Once naira falls ,inflation follows, cost of fuel increase, interest rate skyrockets thereby causing lack of funding for smes to manufacturing which in other words translate to even more reliance on import.....
Wat tpain ought to hav started wit is partial subsidy removal, then tackle security in d north proper so we self reliant in feeding, borrow massively to fund power n proper monitoring of this funds so it doesn't get looted.
Do this within d 1st term in governance n succeed then before he can talk abt total subsidy removal n floating of naira
Tpain came wit agidi be cos he feels say agidi na power.
Already he has failed becos he has lost control of economy.wit current interest rate of 30% ,no sme can take a loan n pay back...its an impossible rate which was as a result of inflation

Obi who you call a daft illiterate is an international business man, former governor and a billionaire. What about you? You're wretched and living in a one room apartment, struggling to survive. This shows that you're worse than a daft illiterate.

I am against loans, unlike u, I didn't defend Tinubu blindly.
The difference is that Tinubu didn't borrow to fight depreciation, Obi is very daft
It is better to borrow money to fight depreciation than use it on private jets, yatchs, coastal roads, and bags of rice that will neither get to you nor anyone you know. Obi is obviously more intelligent than you and BAT.

Oga, depreciation is caused by accumulated debts and Obi feels like acquiring more loans is the best idea? I don't have to explain.
Even Obi said he took his best advice from mad men grin grin

Acquiring loan is bad enough but in this case we have no choice as our tax reform is still infant but taking loan to defend a depreciating currency?
Bruh, even SS3 economics student knows that is a very foolish move

So how do you want to improve your tax when majority can no longer afford to eat ordinary egg without thinking about their account balance?

Very funny.
