For the likes of raumdeuter, he is a conservative who naturally supports his conservative ideas and party. Deep down in his mind he would have preferred a real conservative candidate to Trump... But for now he is stuck with Trump like many others in his party.

But for these Nigerians in Nigeria supporting Trump, it started in 2015 after Obama gave a speech before the Nigeria election encouraging Nigerians to go out en mass and vote and sustain democracy. Some Nigerians took it that Obama was interfering with Nigeria election and campaigning against Jonathan's ruling party. When Jonathan eventually lost the election some members of his party (not all) blame and hated Obama and his party. Since then they will rather support Trump who insults them than support anyone Obama supports.

I'm going to disagree with you here, I know Raum's type in the US. He isn't a true conservative. He doesn't have consistent conservative views, just jumps around depending on what he thinks the Republican party stands for. And even if he did. I have never met a person who can explain how a person can be both a Black person and a conservative. The definition of Conservatism is to maintain the status quo, the status quo doesn't afford equality to people with black skin.

He's someone who thinks he mildly did something with his life and thus he should be white adjacent. Because only white people do something with themselves. It's the lynchpin of his language of Dems being victims and Dem victimhood.
It's peculiar, because he's not uberly successful or educated. That's not an insult but there are different levels to it.
For some people to feel better about themselves there has to be an in group that they belong to and an out group that they can shit on.
