This issue has gone viral worldwide and is the stuff of podcasts.

I'm glad we won the internet/social media information war over Libya on this one.

I expect a lot of our players to appear on podcasts in the coming weeks and months to talk about this stuff.

Even SuperSports go milk the issue on that African football Show that features Peterside Idah.

It'd be an interesting few months to look up to
Even today Monday night football
We go milk am

What is worse than Libya's horror show is some Nigerians taking their side in the matter saying they are justified because Nigeria treated them badly first.

I have done my checks and even the issue of Libya's arrival in PH and hide and seek games was discussed in the media by Ademola Olajire, NFF Head of Communications. Toyin Ibitoye (former Super Eagles Media Officer) anchored that News Central show.

The Libyans were being difficult and pushed a false narrative manipulatively with pictures which are actually a result of their own decisions, refusal to communicate and refusal to accept help from the NFF with respect to reaching Uyo.

kennysville:
This Libya saga has to go down in history as the worst vindictive attack on a fellow African country. This is simply unacceptable. This is football and not World war. On top say even if the Libyans qualify, they wont make it out of group stages. What's their problem? I dont see the need for us playing this match. To hell with 3 point. No be today we never qualify for Nations cup. Safety is more important this inhumane treatment. And here we are preaching Pan Africanism! What a shame.
With all these shenanigans going on, how can we as Africans rise to even begin to challenge world powers when we cant even unite to play an ordinary game of football?

If this is a payback for whatever happened to the Libyans in Uyo then somebody in Naija FA needs to be fired. The same thing happened to the South Africans in one of our Airports. The way I see it, this trend is going to continue as people countries are gonna start weaponizing this delay tactics to demoralize opposing teams. I think it's high time CAF made a scape goat. This is to say the least, APPALLING!

Heaven knows I hate these North Africans and their dark footbalk tactics. They are in the habit of using this inhumane tactic to win football matches.

CAF has repeatedly tolerated these shenanigans from North African countries and unless CAF sends a very heavy hammer on their National team that transcends into their teams in the continent cause this is 2024 for crying out loud . I remember those days when Enyimba conquered Africa it was a giant leap to even do so.

BRO If they're stucked they can get the presidency involved. The Secretary to the federal government Hon Femi can be contacted asap and with the presidential inputs I am so sure alot can be done immediately

The CAF president can be phoned as well...this is a matter of this guys safety and it is wickedness taken too far
Guy, with the virality of this issue and the way the news outlets and prominent and influential peeps around the world are posting about it, the presidency is already involved.

Right now, calls are being made. Phones are being banged. People who are directly and indirectly involved are on their toes and all buttons are being pressed trying to find a resolution to this issue.

This issue has international dimensions with our foreign-based players who are employees of foreign clubs with some being dual citizens.

A lot is going on behind the scenes., trust me.

We are "outsiders" and its unfair to assume that the presidency is not involved at this point.

The Libyans overdid this one and they will pay for it seriously. They forgot that dual citizenship part of which Captain Ekong is one. They underrated the influence of our players in the international sphere of things. For as long as Nigeria refuses to play tomorrow they are done for. Whether they have 3 points or not. Even their press release reeks of fear on their part.

We have never had that reputation of being bad hosts, it's teams who know they can't compete with us on the field that come up with these schemes and it's high time nff begins to make public all arrangements they normally make for host teams to avoid these chickens and cowards of nations who can't compete when they come to Nigeria to play. The see finish is becoming too much

Bro. you no lie.

Fear and abeg, was written over that their press release.

I entertain no fear as I know the team will be evacuated from Libya soon.

I am more interested in the actions taken afterwards by CAF on this issue.

They'll reluctantly sanction Libya I know, but mostly to safe face, because of how the matter has escalated internationally

Sorry for the stress guys. Your well being is far worth more than that game. Please return to your respective clubs. CAF can give the 3pts and 3 goals to Libya. We will qualify from the remaining 2 games.

Memories!!!
Enyimba in 2003 and 2004. Hellish!!!

In fact 2003 especially, Enyimba vs USM Algiers in the semis and then Ismaily in the final to finally break that Nigerian clubs curse in the CAF CL is for me the most dogged show of mental strength any Nigerian team displayed against the horrific cowardly tactics of the North Africans. Gosh!!!!

What Enyimba endured to bring home that prize was insane. On and off the field. Damn it!!

That Ekong, I posted after the AFCON that he's a potential Super Eagles coach.

Excellent on the pitch, and very measured, speaks so well and does not talk recklessly off it.
