Tayorshd87:Well, yes the building is old Unfortunately, you can see the neighbourhood is also old. This is old Lagos. And no vibrant economy to create enough money to repair and raise standards More houses are going to collapse. |

mikeapollo:Approval for a building that is almost 50 years? Or does that building look like a new build? So many old buildings were marked for demolition or advised to refurbished in mushin but the locals were not having any of it, the people advised to refurbish are not even lifting a finger |

According to a social media user who shared the video, no life was lost in the incident. That's a very good news.I can tell from the shouting at the beginning of the video that the building has already given signs of it's collapse few minutes before it did, giving it's occupants the chance to flee. |

Men shouting like women as usual. Avoidable calamity. Why cant the government pass a law that the owners of these old houses should either redevelop them or sell them to willing developers? Or are they afraid of the "developers"? |

Afonjudas: shut up, shameless pig…onne port is functioning and calabar port too. And besides what are the failures you elected governor doing? Lagos partnered with private sector to build lekki port, so I guess Lagos govt should also come and build one in your landlocked poto poto region ![]() Keep making excuses for migrating to Lagos when we all know your erosion land is barren and unproductive but instead of you to humble yourself and hide yourself in shame, you go about beating your empty chest boasting to people far ahead of your cursed region….arindin🤣🤣 |

That house looks like a 500 years old house ... And I hope everyone had time to evacuate before the collapse. Cause of collapse : old age plus recent rainfall |

oluwaseyi0:The useless government will not see this kind of house to demolish cos its clearly owned by a yoruba, but they go about destroying solid and well built mansions owned by the Igbos... It will never be well with them |
