Let me teach you something about South Africa guy, because you lots have big mouths about anything concerning SA and yet you know very little about our country..

Eskom was built to service 10% of the white population.. after Apartheid ended..everyone depended on those power plants.. and ofcourse infrastructure became obsolete as the population and dependence grew

So what did the Black government do? it built two power plants//Medupi and Kusile....One power plant has already been added to the grid hence the alleviation of power outages and it appointed a credible black electricity minister

what has Nigeria done to solve its power problems which you had wayyyyy before us?

Absolutely nothing ..

All you know is blabbering about white people and hiding behind their presence to mask your stagnation as a country, this tired excuse won't work with me. It's played out.
So why don't you go enough your electricity in peace. Does it erk you that so called useless Nigerians are on a naija forum bad mouthing you.?

Eskom, South Africa's state power generation company, has achieved the milestone of 200 consecutive days without loadshedding (scheduled power cuts), highlighting the improved reliability and performance of its generation fleet.

This achievement (on October 13) stems from the comprehensive Generation Operational Recovery Plan launched in March 2023, along with proactive planned maintenance, all supported by financial assistance from the National Treasury’s debt relief scheme.

The last time South Africa enjoyed such an extended period without loadshedding was from 8 September to 11 December, 2020.

Plan for additional 11,000MW by 2027

Notably, this uninterrupted power supply has been accomplished with a significant reduction in the use of open-cycle gas turbines (OCGTs), which are typically employed to boost generation capacity during peak demand.

Here’s to hoping for another 200 days of no loadshedding for the Rainbow Nation!
That's impressive... Unlike in the past when SA had some major power cuts due to load shedding.
