Seems like IPMAN is still in the middle of working things out with Dangote Refinery, so nothing's really changed yet. How de negotiations went? |

penultimatee:No...... because I just bought fuel for 998 naira from NNPCL filling station on Alfred rewane in ikoyi around 10am . The price is heading 1,500 naira only by December. By January 2025 , it will be sold at 2,000 naira only per litre. |

Funkyswagzz:That is naija for you. As it is said we are too smart, the result is stupidity. They say if you want to know nigerians, give them a junction, there must be traffic blockage. Other parts of the world refinaries will be built, price of product come down, currency will gain value, queues will disappear, but in naija, na the opposite. When Ukraine war started oil price went up, all oil producing countries started cashing out, Angola gained almost 50% value on its currency, lots of them in debt used the windfall to clear debts and build reserves. Amazingly, only naija instead gained nothing, infact our reserves diminished, cost of fuel went through the roof, oil theft increased. One can argue that all this happened under apc, the cursed gang, because under pdp, Obj used the gulf War windfall to clear our foreign debts. Under Jonathan, he setup the excess crude account to save for the rainy day, but of course, fashola, elrufai and the other apc opposition "worbia" governors fought him to unbundle the money for spending. Meanwhile Op, fuel is now 980 at nnpc stations in Lagos. |
