Transportation from Enugu to Abuja is 38 to 55k depending on the company or bus for a journey of just 250 kilometres or thereabout, while Maiduguri to Abuja cost just 17k for a journey of over 600 kilometres.

I read a post here on NL a few months ago that Niger State launched some CNG buses, and Lagos State is gearing up to launch CNG and electric buses too but I wonder why there is NO emphasis on the kitting of the food trucks and trailers with CNG kits so that these big vehicles can become hybrids with the ability to use both CNG (methane) and PMS (gasoline)? The emphasis has been on CNG conversation for buses and cars which are NOT enough to drive down hyperinflation. The cost of food and other items in especially the urban centers in the South of Nigeria have to drop massively so that the folks their can gain relief from high cost of drugs, food, transportation to and from work, etc.

This is indeed an opportunity for these guys in government to rapidly move in and make things better for Nigeria so that the Middle East military tensions between Israel and others will NOT further destabilize Nigeria with more spikes in crude oil prices and pump prices of PMS where people would likely pay as high as N2000 or more per liter. PMS from Dangote Petrochemical Refinery and other refineries can then be exported to earn foreign exchange to shore up the value of the Nigerian local currency.

Yes, the governor recently had batches of big buses into the the state just like you rightly said. I think lack of foresight for our leaders is also a factor, the world is going away gradually from carbon monoxide and it's impact in the global warming as we've been constantly seeing in the news outlets. Going the way of CNG conversation of our major food transportation logistics (trucks) will indeed have a significant impact on improving the cost of food stuff as majority of the excuse for cost of things is commonly the cost of diesel and petrol. This inovative tendencies will aid curb this loopholes.

The bags packed on the ground beside the trailer truck is a sack containing shear butter seeds extracted from the Shear butter fruits from the Shear butter trees here. This bags are being shipped to other regions of the country for processing as raw materials to be converted to other finished goods and commodities ( I heard it's used for producing oils) I don't know the type though, maybe turkey oil or controller oil as it's commonly called here or something else.

If not political and religion extremism, Northern Nigeria would still be the best place to stray. Greed and craftiness reign supreme in the southeast part of Nigeria especially the East.

I am interested. I usually bring yam to lagos from mokwa but it is expensive . Which area is this can you connect me to some farmers

When some folks in the north post images of things and their prices, I see a lot people arguing that it's a lie and can't be possible. Well, I think the southern greedy traders have conditioned the brain of many people over there to always believe that it must be expensive and no any other way else, it's pathetic to see some other people crying for food which is supposed to be the basis of our existence and affordable to even the poorest amongst us, while some other people in the other places have this same food in abundance. Not always about the government being the issue but also the traders and the marketers too! Over here in my region, philanthropy, help of mankind and sympathy towards fellow humans is the other here. If not for the terrorism and killings going on here, cost of living and raising children with the best of life affordable things even to the poor are a bit easy here, ranging from housing to feeding to transportation and other basic necessities of life.

Honestly you've said it all, North is the best place to live because of accommodating and kind behavior,if not for banditry ,I love the place and the people

Succinctly stated.

The state Governor's have to get down to work by converting more of these food trucks and trailers to use CNG so they can charge less on transportation and haulage and ALSO introduce price control measures with punishments meted to offenders who increase prices arbitrarily after the diffusion of CNG fuel in major cities of Nigeria because some Nigerians are very greedy and like to game the system to make excessive illegal profits. It is these same people that would point fingers online and offline at some of those alleged politicians while they themselves are rotten with greed.

That's village market....... From all of this towns above...... Mutum daya.... Garatu..... Paiko...... Maikunkele..... Njita..... Gwada... Or kuta..... Its very cheap in these locations

Reminds me of Shiroro and Yikpata (not sure of the spelling) market by the river close to Zumba. Plenty of fresh fish by the riverside. Wonderful experience!
