adolfHitler1934:Jesus!!!! This is too bad!!!! Infact sir, to better buttress the point! If they're charging this exorbitant prices when the nation is at peace with each region, I wonder what'll happen if eventually there is a breakout of war, they'll rather make money off the running southerners in the north than to save life first as we saw during a certain year here in the north where there seems to be a brewing ethnical uproar of the north against the Igbos in 2019, the transportation companies saw that as an avenue to milk the fleeing citizens, I weeped and wailed so bitter. Thank God the governor of the state as of then was wise enough to end that choas before it escalated |

Konquest:wow....I really marveled at your wide and well informed postulations.... it's further rejuvenate my assertions that we still have intelligent people in this forum! It's a pleasure talking with you sir. Yes, the governor recently had batches of big buses into the the state just like you rightly said. I think lack of foresight for our leaders is also a factor, the world is going away gradually from carbon monoxide and it's impact in the global warming as we've been constantly seeing in the news outlets. Going the way of CNG conversation of our major food transportation logistics (trucks) will indeed have a significant impact on improving the cost of food stuff as majority of the excuse for cost of things is commonly the cost of diesel and petrol. This inovative tendencies will aid curb this loopholes. |

Catalysttt:Nothing like greed bro, here in southwest especially Lagos, every bustop and junction, agbero will collect money before allowing your vehicle move. At the end the end consumer pays for all the cost. |

If not political and religion extremism, Northern Nigeria would still be the best place to stray. Greed and craftiness reign supreme in the southeast part of Nigeria especially the East. |

Catalysttt:Indeed... Thank you. I must commend your courage in bluntly exposing these inefficiencies and greed in the food distribution chain on interstate routes leading to the South of Nigeria. I read a post here on NL a few months ago that Niger State launched some CNG buses, and Lagos State is gearing up to launch CNG and electric buses too but I wonder why there is NO emphasis on the kitting of the food trucks and trailers with CNG kits so that these big vehicles can become hybrids with the ability to use both CNG (methane) and PMS (gasoline)? The emphasis has been on CNG conversation for buses and cars which are NOT enough to drive down hyperinflation. The cost of food and other items in especially the urban centers in the South of Nigeria have to drop massively so that the folks their can gain relief from high cost of drugs, food, transportation to and from work, etc. This is indeed an opportunity for these guys in government to rapidly move in and make things better for Nigeria so that the Middle East military tensions between Israel and others will NOT further destabilize Nigeria with more spikes in crude oil prices and pump prices of PMS where people would likely pay as high as N2000 or more per liter. PMS from Dangote Petrochemical Refinery and other refineries can then be exported to earn foreign exchange to shore up the value of the Nigerian local currency. |

| Re: See #5,000 Yam In My Location Niger State! by Konquest: 9:43pm On Oct 15, 2024 |
Catalysttt:Succinctly stated. The state Governor's have to get down to work by converting more of these food trucks and trailers to use CNG so they can charge less on transportation and haulage and ALSO introduce price control measures with punishments meted to offenders who increase prices arbitrarily after the diffusion of CNG fuel in major cities of Nigeria because some Nigerians are very greedy and like to game the system to make excessive illegal profits. It is these same people that would point fingers online and offline at some of those alleged politicians while they themselves are rotten with greed. If you haven't read this thread link BELOW, you can go through it for a summary of resources on the CNG project by the OP who is one of our veteran encyclopedias on NL: =>https://www.nairaland.com/8238749/hyundai-nigeria-moves-ease-transport Thanks for the deep insights and submissions on your thread. I wish you a great week ahead. Cheers. |

Where everywhere is yam all through. And don't even think I'll bother buying to transport to the southern region, I didn't have that mental capacity. For an average northerner, a little profit just slightly above the cost price is just okay for him and that is contentment... wealth comes from the lord and not by selfishness and greed!
