habex050:
we are still far from getting there?
bat is bad
We got there many years ago after we voted for Fashola and his APC propagandist liars.

gratiaeo:
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, has said the only way the country can have stable electricity is to vote out the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from power in next year’s general election.

Fashola, who gave the counsel while marking his 2,600 days in office at an elaborate ceremony held at the Blue Roof of the Lagos Television premises, said electricity crisis in the country is caused by lack of ideas and insincerity of purpose on the part of Federal Government.

He said,” Yes I agree with you that it is possible to generate electricity and to make sure that everybody in this country has electricity, we have to do the right thing. But you know what, the only way that you and I will have electricity in this country will be to vote out the PDP.

” In 16 years hundreds of billions of naira have been spent and we cannot switch on electricity and in seven years we have created four plants. It shows that something is missing. So unless you vote for All Progressive Congress it is going to be difficult to have electricity.

“They started from vision 2020-20 and I told you then that they were having a nightmare, that there was no vision.
“They moved to seven point agenda and now they are transforming

I doubt if we will ever be there.
Not that we don't have the capacity to even generate more than that in the future but our leaders will never make it possible for it to be achieved.

Canaan land generates their own power and they enjoy light 24/7 courtesy of one man, Bishop David Oyedepo. Yet, mugus will choose to hate pastors that are actually doing the work that politicians refuse to do, they rather steal our Commonwealth dry.

The question is, why cant Nigeria provide light? It is the same reason the refineries can never work, Corrupt kleptomaniacs in the corridors of power.

A few thieves have made a covenant that no social-economic system will function in this country, and their minions are the tools used to create chaos (religion, ethnicity, tribalism etc) in the polity.

Only the people (that have sense) can enforce the positive change that we seek. Kick these vultures out!

To generate 1mw of electricity, you need something north of 1 million USD. Understandably, power generation and transmission is very expensive but the only reason why Nigeria has never managed to generate above 7000mw is because of the blind and mindless looting of useless political class in Nigeria.

Egypt had the same issue of blackouts Nigeria has but it got Samsung onboard and in less than 6 years, samsung solved that issue. Egypt now comfortably generates over 60,000mw.

Samsung was actually invited into Nigeria to proffer solutions to our power problem by the late Kyari during Buhari's time but since the man died none of the bastards in the ministry of power have pursued that deal with Samsung.
Samsung will fail in Nigeria because here things are deliberately programmed not to work just for the benefit of few that are benefiting from the problem

That's 4.8 Gigawatts na, we use more of megawatts as our unit of measurement here

1000 Megawatts = 1 Gigawatts

I understand megawatts can be converted into kilowatts and also gigawatts, but base on what they posted we need around 88gw to achieved a 24/7 electricity but writing it as megawatts we look like something that's not achievable. Where as it is something we can fully achieve without breaking a sweat.

As of 2022 we have the capacity to generate 22gw but till now we are still battling with 4.5 and 4.8gw of electricity.

Shame on Tinubu and the rest thieves.
We have the capacity to generate 22gw?

That's interesting.

So 1mw = $1 million?

And Nigeria needs about 88,000 Megawatts of electricity to achieve a 24/7 electricity availability?

That's some money. Say about $80 billion.

Nigeria can achieve this if it really wants to.

88000Mw can never be achievable in Nigeria, not even half of it,you know why?It will take billions of naira away from those few greedy b@stards who are benefiting from power outage. You don't expect them to shoot themselves in the leg.

Now imagine if this 250-something billion were spent on electricity; it would be a done deal tey tey. You talk of 80, minus it from 250, that's how much?

We don't know how much Buhari spent or Tinubu will to defend the naira.

And that reminds me OBJ and Atiku administration...$16 billion disappeared till date...you know how many megawatts that is going to solve?

I shake my head at this system we are running.

You are more ignorant Sir. The guy you replied asked if the transmission line can accommodate 10,000mw successfully but you insulted him of ignorance only to show us how 4,200mw is transmitted. Does 10k sound like 4.2k? Are you sensible at all? Is the transmission infrastructure actually capable of transmitting 10,000k across Nigeria? It will obviously most likely collapse still. Me now wondering what is the result of all monies spent by OBJ to GEJ to Buhari on power!!! Little time, some people will praise some politicians over others.
