Hi bro TheGoodJoe. This is a long response so indulge me.

No one is more critical of the NFF than folks on this space. We however know when not to unjustly apportion blame or responsibility where none exist. I probably will agree with you if you stance is how we can better beef up our processes so absolute proof of non culpability exist should issues like this occur in the future, but blaming the NFF?

1. It's easier to believe the NFF commited murder than it is to believe they were inhospitable. Historically, Nigeria is known to treat her visitors well, not even when antics was common place in African football did the NFF resort to this

2. Paradoxical, the Libyans are known for such antics. They experience of 2 Nigerian club side in the last 3 years and several other African countries are enough receipts to reach this conclusion.

3. A host isn't responsible for the visitors schedule. What a host does is request for the visitors itinerary and make plans as required. The NFF had reached out to th Libyan FA to find out what their travel plans were so they could plan effectively, but they decided to play hide and seek with it and only called when they were in the air.

4. The NFF did make arrangements to receive the Libyans and hemp with logistics. The plans however were situated in Uyo not PH. How should the NFF bare responsibility for the Libya's own mistakes here?

5. Getting flight approval for a foreign jet with the bureaucratic bottleneck that exists in Nigeria in a few hours is I'm itself a miracle. The NFF however was able to do that for Libya. That trumps reaching out to the Rivers FA like you suggested. They got then a landing permit and Libya instead decided against flying to "save cost" and insisted they'll rather go by road. How is this again the NFF's fault? The same Libya now complained about "bad road" as one of the trauma they experienced.

6. Why is it difficult for you to believe Libya refused NFF's bus gesture? Really surprised you find that strange. Historically, the north Africans don't trust other parts of Africa and will as much as possible get everything they need themselves. For example, at the AFCON in Cameroon, Morocco came with as much of the supplies they needed. They came with their own Mattress, their own security and even staffed the hotel where they stayed with Moroccans. It is typical north African behaviour

7. Could it also be that Libya planned all of these just to conjure an incident to justify reciprocity? First, a lot of the pictures shared wasn't even in PH. Also they ones they even took was planned. Why sit on the floor to take a picture when the airport is full of sits if you don't have an agenda planned? Why take videos of bad roads like that was specially curated for you guys to experience? Isn't it possible that they could have intentionally flown into PH instead of Uyo, intentionally not carry the NFF along, and intentionally create a scene just to have justification for what they already had planned for Nigeria?

I personally think they NFF should work on making processes with Visitors as digital as possible. Even when calls her made, ensure correspondence happen via mail so you have a paper trail when issues like this come up. This is what I think the NFF should work on,

This is already getting too long. But you have other questions I'll respond as required.
the Libyans conned us and that's what makes me sad, our vulnerabilities as a nation have been exposed and even our fellow citizens can't believe whatever defence we come up with. Other visiting teams especially the smaller nations who know they can't compete with us will take advantage of this. And if we are not careful you see all these foreign borns we want to keep courting to play for us, just forget it. Unless CAF introduces more stringent rules this will not be the last of it. Don't be surprised if some of our best players start selecting matches they want to play for us henceforth by then if anyone complains here, I will not even say pim.

The Musa effect I guess grin
He is on the score sheet too

On a more serious note, consistency is a problem for most NPFL teams.... Enyimba and Remo stars in the last few years have been the most consistent teams in the country.. the others are neither here nor there

I don't understand. I listened to the interview and pointed holes in it. A good one was the man saying the Libyans requested for Buses on their way to Nigeria. Then he said they rejected buses. I don't know about you but such a statement needs clarification than just saying the Libyans rejected while the Libyans are complaining of not getting buses.

So I don't understand what else you want me to post. I have typed extensively on this matter and I am more interested in clarifications from the NFF than assumptions of the Libyans trying to trick us.

The Libyans have failed to detail what happened on their trip to Nigeria and where exactly the NFF failed them. All they have been saying is that they were abandoned at the airport for 3 hours, the same airport they chose to land in instead of the city the match is taking place.

If the NFF is at fault in anyway it will only be due to negligence on their part and not a deliberate act and the Libyans too will share part of the blame.

Nigeria's ordeal in Libya was deliberate and not due to negligence.

Then, what's it with the spurious footage the LFF circulated on SM showing people sleeping in a mosque and deceptively claiming it's their players sleeping in the airport.

That is desperate on their part and showed a very malicious intent.

I agree. Enyimba and Remo Stars have both been in the top 4 for the last 2 seasons before this one.

Anyway, Rangers have made it 2-4 now.

As for the "Ahmed Musa" effect. It is real oooo. You are all right.

He caused mayhem in the Rangers Box with a cross which came off the hand of the Rangers defender for Pillars' first penalty of the game. Rabiu Ali Converted.

He was brought down in the box for Pillars's 2nd penalty of the game which Rabiu Ali again converted and then he scored the 4th goal himself.

The Musa Effect Indeed.

It is now Rangers 3-4 Kano Pillars.

Meanwhile Enyimba are trailing 1-0 at home (Aba) vs Niger Tornadoes as at Half Time.

The USMNT comes into Nigeria to play a match, we reroute them to Maiduguri and lock the team with the USSF president and the deputy governor of Alabama in the airport for 15 hours. Also frustrate staffs of the Department of State trying to reach them.
