"Why I chose to stay unmarried" – Bimbo Akintola opens up

Veteran Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akintola, has shed light on her decision to remain unmarried, even as societal expectations weigh heavily on her.

In a conversation with colleague Emmanuel Ehumadu, popularly known as Labista, the actress shared her views on love, relationships, and marriage.

Akintola, who is known for her versatile on-screen performance, revealed that the love of her life had died, and she has yet to find a replacement for him.

When asked about the possibility of marriage, Akintola reflected on her past heartbreaks, explaining how they have shaped her understanding of commitment.

She made it clear that she is not in a rush to walk down the aisle, especially with someone who may not be fully invested in the lifelong vows that marriage entails.

“I can’t imagine making a ‘forever’ commitment to someone who isn’t equally dedicated,” she said.
