I want to ask those that used Primecare Hospital from Lagos if they travelled with their husband throughout the process. And how many days did they stay in Abuja before coming back.

Thanks
It's a discussion btw U and Ur husband. Your husband is only needed during his sample, on your embryo retrieval, if he has time or would want to give you moral support then it's a discussion btw U both.

Please be strong Mama! These guys are becoming something else, probably because of the volume of work they're trying to cope with but it's definitely not an excuse. We had almost similar experience from them earlier this year. After going forth and back with multiple hysteroscopy and co. for almost a year and finally they said we should proceed and lo and behold it went negative! Their costumer service is almost zero then, the worst is that they seem to be more interested in the money because there was no sign of empathy from them, [in fact the cost doubled within our cycle:- dollar palava(when we came and when we were cleared to proceed fully)]. ... it's Negative! ...you need to re-cycle... This is the amount....bla bla bla... And we were like, do you guys know the stress and strain, one had undergone, at least a place like that should understand the psychological and emotional trauma that happens during a failed cycle, it was lacking then, although I don't know of now, we actually got their good reviews from this thread before we went then. But what can one do, more so this is Nigeria and everyone is OYO. Please focus on recovery yourself at this time, be there for each other (DH and DW), don't do blame game. You need God guidance on your next step to take. I pray God will strengthen you both and grant your heart desires for you and all the TTC family in Jesus name Amen 🙏

Had similar experience from the one I cycled with in Lagos also . They won't even call to find out the outcome and if you inform them , there won't be any follow up . The one that I did with in Abuja has excellent customer service, the Dr had to tell me his personal experience of 3 attempts before achieving success coupled with a huge discount all in bid to encourage me to try more . You won't believe that the next attempt is this 17months old stressing me 😂

I also got their good reviews from here
I don't know about them before
They are exactly the way you described but worse
Customer service zero with one rude lady handling their phone
Like you mentioned it's all about money for them no human empathy
We spent more than 4m
Now my husband doesn't want to hear anything from online
When I suggested Abuja he just shut me up
I couldn't argue with him he's the one paying
The psychological and emotional trauma, even mentally, it wasn't easy still not, you know when somebody told you there's no hope, your only option is surrogacy after collecting huge amount of money from you. Recovery from that is not going to be easy. I told the doctor that attended to me because Dr Omishakin refused to see us saying he is very busy, I know he must have seen us through the CCTV camera
It is well mama. Thanks

I had a nasty experience with PF. I read reviews about them here too. If you ask Dr Omisakin questions, he will say he doesn't know. This was after we had spent a lot there. At a point, he was evading us after the failed cycle. So many irregularities here and there. He will smile with you before collecting your money. Once it fails like this, he will start evading you and your questions. Like IVF can fail, but where is your empathy as a Doctor. But God is not man!

Pls ma, did u know anyone with azoospermia that achieve pregnancy through IVF?
Mummy4life1:
Ma'am, I will really like to advice you before you embark on the IVF again because I also bleeds for two weeks with clot after my positive result but I was given Gestone injection and cyclogest daily, I was asked to be on bed rest for two weeks. My friend that gave birth to triplet in December was asked to be on bed rest at the hospital for three weeks because of the bleeding too. So, a lot of things needs to be done even after the positive result so that miscarriage will not occur after positive result, that is for people that do see Brown discharged or blood after the positive result.

I've a strong believe that a lot of people here will start attending antenatal soon. I am Congratulating all the Ma'ams in advance for the positive result and for the joy that will arrive each families this year 2020.
Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by Bukola16: 6:59am On Oct 16, 2024
Pls I want to know maybe yours is non obstructive azoospermia coz that's what we are facing now and I want to know if u were able to achieve pregnancy after IVF
loldar2000:
I will also advice you save up for ivf, we are into the same issue, this is our 8th year (though we have done IVF but miscarried). Once it is non-obstructive azoospermia, I.e. if he has high FSH, the only solution is either you use donor sperm or go through TESE+ICSI+IVF and most fertility clinic don't offer this. Parenting a child doesn't mean he/she should have DH DNA but by the love you show to them.
Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by Bukola16: 7:09am On Oct 16, 2024
Good day,pls share more light on how u were able to achieve pregnancy through azoospermia and use TESE+IVF pls we are in this situation and I want to know PLS
Glurssymum:
Ooh! Mama. This situation is really eating me up. We were told that almost all cases where TESA or TESE was done for non obstructive azoospermia were not succesful. That success were recorded for obstructive using this procedure. Again, doctor advised that damages to the testes can result during this process.

Hi everyone, I wanted to share our update and seek for advise as I have been feeling down and wondering if I failed my wife in decision making.

We finally discovered my wife was having an ectopic pregnancy which was diagnosed as ovarian. The gynae we saw said they were going to do an oophorectomy( remove my wifes right ovary) .

This was terrible news and at the same time, they were hurrying us as they didn't want the ectopic pregnancy to rupture.

I managed to seek for another opinion at a very expensive fertility clinic. The man said he will be able to remove the ectopic and also preserve my wifes ovary but during his diagnosis he said he saw a submucosal fibroid which he thinks has to be removed and which may have been responsible for delay in pregnancy (we had tried without luck for 5 cycles prior to the ectopic).
My wife also had 2 other fibroids making 3 fibroids in total.

In short we paid a lot of money for the ectopic removal and fibroid removal (3 small ones including submucosal) .

Everything was done in a rush and I feel was overwhelmed and vulnerable while making the decision, after the surgery I started questioning my decision to agree for the procedure.

Yes he was able to remove the ectopic pregnancy, we later discovered it was tubal (my wife now has lost her right fallopian tube although he said the left fallopian tube is okay).

Bu my pain is that he did an abdominal myomectomy to remove 3 small fibroids, I am worried that the myomectomy was not necessary, the only concerning thing wa submucosal which could have been removed via hysteroscopic myomectomy rather that the open myomectomy.

I am really worried that having to do open myomectomy would have caused my wife adhesions after healing, I am really sad and blaming myself for not doing enough research on this but we were too worried about saving my wifes life at the time so my judgement was impaired.

Now my wife has only the left fallopian tube, 2 ovaries and an uterus that has gone through open myomectomy. I am really worried that the open myomectomy would lead to adhesions.

When I discussed this with him he has asked that we come and do operative hysteroscopy in 4 months time after my wife is healed, and I have read that hysteroscopy ca also cause adhesions .

So I feel lost, right now we have to wait for 4 months before trying but I keep blaming myself for wrong choice made that made me agree for an open myomectomy...

Any advise is welcome and if anyone knows about open myomectomy how bad is adhesions after this procedure?
First of all, calm down . It's going to be all right . I know someone with knowledge will be along to give you the right advice .

Good afternoon Fruitful Mama's .
Please help me out, I will be 40yrs by Nov 2024 without any Child & this is my 9yrs of Marriage. I did 1st Fibroid Surgery in 2019, & 2nd on May 2024.
I Survived the 2nd Surgery just by The Grace of God Almighty. Now I and my Hubby struggled to raise (#2.5m) for the IVF , that's what the Hospital charge us in the East (Enugu precisely).
I started making inquiries & I was told that I will still pay like 1million or more when given birth through IVF.

Pls Mama's who has gone through the procedure before,.
1. Is it True that I will pay up to a million naira on delivery of the baby?

2. Pls what should I start taking since I want to embark on this procedure by December?

I did my IVF at primecare fertility clinic abuja, and got pregnant on first trial.
Their current bill is 1,200,000 FOR IVF one cycle, two cycle 2.2m, drugs inclusive. Registration 50k, tests 150k.
They are cheap and very efficient, I believe one of the reason is , the drugs they use, are specifically produced for them by an Indian company, it's not the popular cyclogest, gestone, etc. so I believe that's why they are cheaper.
But they are sooo efficient. Dr ese, Dr kalio, Dr nonso, Dr anya..

Everything will be fine.
Your wife should start using serraenzyme serrapeptase. It will prevent adhesion from forming.

Good morning everyone
Couldn't sleep because I am troubled again, I don't know if it's normal. I have been taking serrapeptase and doing the castor oil massage since on the 4th of this month, period started yesterday instead of 26th that I was expecting it and it just flows a little yesterday, now it has stopped. Just one day
I did not stop taking the serrapeptase and doing castor oil massage when the period started because I heard it increases the flow, but instead the flow and duration is worse than last month. Not encouraging at all

A mama suggested that I should take four serrapeptase a day, I went through the old thread some people took 6, 8 and even 10 a day, because they said the higher the dose the more it will work faster and better
I went as far as taking 10 and doing the castor oil massage twice a day on empty stomach
I am confused did I do anything wrong
Please help 🙏
